“My partner and I have been privileged to travel extensively. This was by far one of the finest stays we have ever had anywhere....it's like staying in a gorgeous history book or perfectly curated religiously themed museum. The grounds are lush and well manicured, night lighting is superb, museums are fascinating and free to guests, chocolate making and ceramics and candle making shops, gorgeous pools, a spectacular spa, amazingly charming staff, and lovely restaurant and bar. I could go on and……

“Palmaia was such a peaceful paradise! We went in mid June and it was pretty quiet so we felt like we had so much space to ourselves. Our nomadic guide Karen was helpful with all of our questions and checked in with us each day to see if we needed anything. We really appreciated her! Edgar gave us a tour when we first arrived and helped us get to the store at Sandos when we needed to get electrolytes (I got dehydrated the first day!) But what helped even more was when room service brought us……

“We did not have AC on the first day. Had maintenance in our room at 3am to try to fix the problem but it wasn’t fixed. So they gave us another room. The second room did not have hot water for the first day and half of the second day. There was also brown water coming out of the tub facet. Expedia has been exceptionally great with working through a resolution for these issues but this does not excuse the poor experience we endured and the disruption these utility issues caused during our trip.……
