"This property is iconic, but it needs an update. Somebody needs to spend some money on the rooms, they’re a little bit tired, and it seems kind of pricey to pay that kind of money to stay in a room that doesn’t have any modern conveniences and has 20 to 30-year-old plumbing. "

"I enjoyed my friend weekend! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The location was beautiful. Nice and walkable to Avila Beach shops and restaurants. The ocean views from the outside sitting areas breathtaking. Short drive to Pismo and SLO. Great place to stay and relax. "

"Amazing location. Parking was super convenient and hotel location allowed us to walk everywhere. Noisy location as it was downtown. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows were too soft. It messed up my neck. Water pressure was amazing. Lady at front desk was very nice."
