"I come to Denver twice a year to see my docs, and the Oxford is my go-to. Even the standard rooms are spacious, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. The bathrooms have gorgeous tile work. The entire hotel is beautifully preserved and well kept, and has soul. The Cruise Room speakeasy off the lobby is cozy and fabulous (especially bartender, Audrey) and the parakeet in the lobby offers a quirky and cheerful welcome. The staff are all very warm and attentive. And the hotel's location a block...

"The staff were helpful, friendly yet professional. The hotel is immaculate, comfortable, safe and excellent dining. The parking is extra so be prepared. The Anschutz hospital owns the parking lot not the hotel. So, there is additional charges for parking. I don't think the hotel has its own parking. There is valet and security at the lot. Some may not want to pay for extra parking. The hotel has beautiful furnishings and art on all floors. We will be returning in June for several days. "

The Ship Tavern is awesome and feels like the real old school deal.Ellingtons had a great brunch and loved the live piano and brass accompaniment on Sunday morning. Palace Arms was a nice late night stop for a final night cap and cigar if you're into that. The hotel is a bit outdated, could use a touch up, but everything was in working order nonetheless. "It’s downtown of course you’ll see a lot of homeless, and drugged up people. The TV in the room was really slow, and the shower had a little gap that would let water out and leave the floor really wet."
