“Swimming pools are large and clean”

“ Beautiful hotel, newly renovated rooms. Had so many restaurants to choose from with pretty good food especially the Japanese restaurant on the family side. There’s an adult side and family side and I had access to both. Beautiful pools and beach. Overall amazing time and experience. ”

“We had 2 rooms- the one-bed room was great. The 3 room suite smelled musty. They ended up moving us to a different room and it was much better. The service was great- they try their best to make your stay good. Food and bars were good. The beach does not have a great swimming area but the beach itself is nice. We did not leave the resort or buy any trips although there are plenty of people that want to sell you trips.”

“Super clean room, sheets and towels were all super white. Beautiful pool and gym. Restaurant on site had good food and drinks. Coco Bongo and bravo grocery store were right across the street. Excellent customer service. Definitely recommend and I will be returning. ”

Some helpful feedback is that the shuttle was handy but since there were 2 different loops, it was always confusing to riders which one they should get on, meaning only by asking the driver would you know.. no sign on it. We would go back!”

“The Barcelo is amazing & beautiful, well manicured on picturesque Bavaro beach! All the amenities you want. The staff are all very friendly; but I suggest you brush up on your Spanish, as most don’t speak english fluently. All the food we had in the multiple restaurants and buffets was very good. The drinks were great; not watered down. There’s room for improvement on cleanliness (sand in the pools, and empty cups laying around; but not terrible. Rooms were in good shape, bed was very……

There is another pool and bar on the ground level. You can never have too many bars. ”
