Honestly the room and the everyone there were so friendly. Also so apologetic when one of the rooms was not ready for a while. There was a little incident with a man slumped at the lift area but apart from that it was a wonderful hotel. Would stay again

Everything was good overall. Decided to have breakfast there. When I said the toast was burnt, the waiter agreed and I heard him telling someone else, but no one offered me another choice. Seems a shame not to include unlimited coffee in the breakfast price but charge for extra cups.

Staff were amazing but the room is not 5*, more like a 3* hotel. Bathroom is aged and not clean. Many visible discoloration on tile joins and stains on walls of room. If this was a 3* hotel I wouldn't have cared but having stayed in real 5* hotels this hotel is 3* at best but they charge 5* prices. The only advantage of this hotel is it's proximity to underground and kings cross station.

Magnificent, iconic hotel. Room small, but elegant and functional. Great bars. Restaurant was lovely with good quality food, if nothing flash. Restaurant was reasonably priced. Hotel itself expensive, but you’re paying for the location - couldn’t be better for Eurostar - and history.

Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely room on the top floor of the hotel with a great view of the clock tower at St Pancras station. Characterful, excellent and spacious both in room and bathroom with a lovely large shower….pressure wasn’t powerful but adequate for someone with long hair☺️ Bed was very comfy with lovely squishy pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again even if we weren’t travelling on Eurostar the next day……which is literally just across the road. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in in London☺️

The front of house staff were amazing - knowledgeable,polite and always with a friendly smile. The ambiance was very nice,good lighting and excellent carpentry/woodwork design around the building. Food and beverages were superb. Location very good ,handy for almost everything.

The hotel is incredibly convenient located to two major overground stations and the underground network. It’s a very positive as a whole. The only drawback is the doors throughout the hotel are extremely heavy. They bang throughout the night as people travel through corridors and enter rooms. This is sleep disrupting for light sleepers

Great hotel if arriving at Kings Cross for a concert in Camden and a 1 night stay. Room was small but fancy. TV didn’t work as a TV which was annoying but did connect to Bluetooth device for some playlist tunes. English breakfast was tremendous in a posh restaurant setting. Apart from TV fault only thing can mark down is terrible Muzak in the bar and restaurant!

My new home London base! The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is because it isn’t a traditional five star hotel. You aren’t coming to GNH for a spa, picturesque nature, amenities abound or food. However, it’s location is fantastic for use of the underground and train. The service is responsive. One drawback is that the doors are quite heavy and housekeeping frequents their cupboards. For a commuter hotel, I found my jet lag required I sleep during housekeeping hours. The slamming of doors needs to be addressed by the hotel. With that said, the housekeeping is fantastic! I will stay here again and again.

Charged Three Times for One Night Stay

I paid for my stay (£415 for one night) *in advance* but at 2:15am during the night of my stay my banking app woke me with an alert to say the hotel had charged me £306.50. I barely slept until 6:45am when I went to question it at reception. I was told that the hotel ran an audit process during the night and that had somehow triggered the charge. I was assured that it would be cancelled. Then, at around 11:30am I got another alert on my banking app telling me they had taken a further £356.50. I was on a course at the British Library and had to leave at lunchtime (when I wanted to be speaking to the other delegates) to go back to the hotel to alert them to the fact I now had over SEVEN HUNDRED pounds pending on my back account (including the initial card deposit of £50). I felt that the staff offered no sympathy or contrition. It's now 11:40am on the following day and I still have over £700 pending in my bank account. I'm really worried because I can't afford that to leave my account. It completely ruined my stay and impacted on my ability to enjoy and concentrate during the course I was attending.
