It’s sold as a hotel room. This is a hostal. One women toilet/shower for everybody. My room door in the middle of the community kitchen. Very strong humidity smell in the room.

Great hostel in Mahahual

This was my second stay, for 9 nights, and it was great. The manager, Maxi, is awesome, and everyone is very respectful in the dorm of noise and personal space. It's kept clean, which is hard in a beach town, and has a large well-equipped kitchen. I'll be back again soon!

Un hostal ubicado frente a la playa con todo lo que se necesita. El personal fue siempre amable y la limpieza era buena. El locker es bastante grande para poner una maleta pequeña de rueditas y es super seguro. Me sentí tan comoda que alargue mi estadía

Would stay again!

Lovely place right in the middle of the beach strip. Very helpful staff and the place is kept very clean, especially for a beach spot. The dorm is big and spacious, the A/C works well, and the bathrooms were kept very clean.

Too many issues

AC only works if there are more than 5 people in the shared room. There are fans but they don't do much. The mattress is uncomfortable. Lockers are really good and spacious. Decent towels for rent. Shower with very low water pressure. The bathrooms need to be cleaned more frequently and not only once a day. Right in front of the beach. Nice patio and garden to relax. The sheets had what looked like many old bed bug stains, even though I didn't find new ones, so maybe that was a problem of the past. Expensive bicycles for rent that are in awful condition. Has locals living there long term, which for hostels is a big NO.

La persona encargada de la recepción de huéspedes y atención en el hotel, nefasto, muy grosero, desatento, todo el tiempo siendo un verdadero majadero (Omar). En lugar de tener un lugar para descansar, era un verdadero martirio acercarse a él.

La entrada a la habitación era por el baño, algo muy raro, el aire acondicionado no era suficiente ya que no enfriaba y se sentía calor en la habitación. Me cobraron más de lo que había pagado en la página. Justo enfrente del hotel está acumulado el sargazo y era un olor muy feo. Al final pague más de $2,600 por una mala habitación. Definitivamente no vuelvo a ese hotel, es demasiado elevado el precio para el servicio que ofrece tanto el hotel como el lugar (Mahahual).
