"Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help."

"Lovely hotel. Staff obviously care - reception, cleaners, bar tenders, team of waiting staff - all very friendly and efficient. Junior suite is just amazing. Lovely old bay window. Lovely views of garden and hills. Breakfast and evening meals were fantastic (and I’m very picky as a nutritionist). Very relaxing overall because it felt like everything was taken care of. "We had a lovely stay for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, we upgraded our room to Super Deluxe which was very spacious and had a great view of the lake. A card was left in our room wishing us a happy anniversary which was a nice touch. Perfect location, breakfast was good and staff were exceptional. Our room wasn’t ready until 4 which is what the hotel states as check in time, this is a bit later than most hotels but we enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. Overall a lovely relaxing stay and we would definitely return. "
