"This wonderful hotel is unique and historic. Built in 1911 the second floor was converted to a hotel. To appreciate its charm you should understand there won’t be an elevator and rooms will vary in size and layout. There won’t be a lobby but there is a door off the side street with a number to call. Don’t worry, they are quick to come and incredibly friendly and eager to accommodate. The bed was very comfortable and at the end of the hall is a game room with a pool table. "I should have read the description more carefully. I’ve never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. Gaylene was lovely and very welcoming. But having a common room was unexpected for me. I wanted to watch a little tv but wasn’t comfortable going downstairs to the “living room” and there’s no tv in the rooms. But still a lovely place. "

"Over we had a great experience! Bathrooms were incredibly clean! You must be okay with dogs occasionally barking, one of the owners dogs even came into our yurt but he was super friendly! Super close to the sand dunes and zapata falls! The yurt was closer to the house and camper than I thought but definitely a safe area! We took a walk around the subdivision and it was super nice with pretty views! The host is very on top of things and communicates well! I would stay again!!!"
