“Very disappointed”

“My family and I ( husband and three grandkids) had a wonderful stay at Barcelo Maya and it surpassed all our expectations! We stayed in the Tropical area and all facilities were easy to access to by pathways or by shuttle. Pools are beautiful and each one has its own all inclusive bar. The kids area is right in the middle by the pools so it easy to watch your kids from the pools. The beach is right behind the pools and has plenty of palm trees if you want shade while sitting or lying on the……

“Very pleased with the resort. We did the included catamaran, cenote, and the shopping excursion. The food, staff and such at the resort was fantastic. Room stayed cold and room service was prompt and fresh. Where things went wrong: this hotel partners with Lomas Travel for the excursions. The conglomerate that owns the business owns Lomas travel. We were told this by their membership sales team. They will tell you how terrible the included excursions are to try to persuade you from doing the……

“Staff is very friendly and helpful . What I like about this resort is that whatever room you choose you will have an amazing view of the beach and every room will have a deep tub in the balcony . View is amazing. 24hours room service ! Whether you are hungry and the restaurant is close you can still order room service ! Thank you Unico for giving us the best experience.”

“Another great visit to HBR. The staff was once again great. There weren’t as many people in both HBR and the larger neighboring properties, but there still was a nice amount of activities and entertainment, and the people (some usuals, some new folks) were lovely and good fun. The spa staff was once again great on HBR’s Sunday afternoon spa takeover which was fun as usual. The food was good, and the restaurants on the larger property once again offered nice choices. “We recently stayed at the Family Selection at Grand Palladium and had a mixed experience. While the property is beautiful, several areas need improvement, especially considering the price. One major disappointment was the beach, where a staff member told us the resort chose not to pay for cleanup, making it unusable during our stay. The resort is just over an hour from Cancun Airport, and round-trip transportation cost us over $200 USD, so plan accordingly. The grounds are lush, well……
