The White Hart Inn Bodmin

The accommodation was basic but adequate it was very noisy downstairs in the public bar with loud music being played every night. Very basic pub.For locals only.The fire escape was very hazardous to use if you left outside the opening hours and was not very well lit at night.You went down stairs and up again. I had to ask someone to show me the exit route.When I booked the hotel online I got the impression that a cooked breakfast was being provide from the information given on the website at an additional cost but that was not the case when we arrived at the Inn.They had know chef. The family room was small, needed towel rails, socket for the kettle,also a shave socket.The beds were comfortable andthe sheets were clean and towels were provided.

The white Hart is a beautiful and welcoming place . The staff are kind , considerate and thoughtful. The entertainment is to die for . I would recommend it to anyone.

The property was completely run down . Extreme bad state of repair all round, and dirty. We booked for two nights, but left first thing in the morning after just one night. When leaving we had to exit via fire escape as the pub was shut and quite frankly that was a danger in itself. When booking it was advertsed as Bed and Breakfast,but when we got there we were told there was no breakfast "due to covid" - However there appeared to be absolutely no covid restrictions in the very noisy bar. Having said that, we would not have eaten in such dirty conditions anyway! So basically we paid for two nights B & B and had one night with very little sleep. Basically, if you are thinking of visiting this hell hole - don't !

Noisy pub and a bad night sleep. No Breakfast served but is advertised as with breakfast. Quite misleading. Should put correct adds. Also faced parking glitches. No value for money. I will Recommend spend a little more and stay in a decent place.

I think some of the reviews I have read have been pretty unfair based on my experience. You're paying less than 40 quid, you're not going to get the Hilton for that. It's a safe, warm place for spending little time in. The welcome was very friendly, informative, time was taken to explain things, and take a breakfast order. I was directed to the free car park and given the wifi code. The property is old but kept warm. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and basic toiletries provided. Towels folded nicely. A microwave was in the room. Kettle, tea, coffee but there was no milk unfortunately. I'm sure if I'd asked I'd have got some immediately. The pub is incredibly noisy... not somewhere restful. The noise did stop at 12:30am and was silent after however. Breakfast was fresh, and quickly prepared. The bed wasn't comfortable because the pillow was terrible. Not really much excuse for that I'm afraid... The telly worked fine. All in all if you take it for what it is, have very little money and don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room then it's perfectly safe and convenient.

A fine base for exploring the area

Well all I can say is that you get what you pay for. We stayed here for 2 nights, bed and breakfast. Staff very pleasant, especially the breakfast chef. The room was tired but perfectly acceptable for a place to sleep. Towels and toiletries provided along with tea making facilities and a microwave! The bar was full of locals and a darts team but nobody batted an eyelid at us 'strangers'! A great cooked breakfast with tea, toast, cereal and juice. All I can say is that the negative reviews are expecting too much for the price. I'd stay again.
