The room we stayed in was dirty. Thw pillow case had dried boggers on it and the comforter was dirty. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped. Requested a different room and it was almost as bad. Stains everywhere on the comforter and the shower curtain was nasty. By the looks of it, it hasnt been cleaned at all. Will not be staying here again and definitely do not recommend anyone staying here.

This room was terrible. Damage everywhere and stains everywhere. Sheets appeared clean and I was stuck (Lubbock has a cra,y hotel scene apparently). I felt safe(ish), but did check for bed bugs. Definitely not staying at a red roof again.

First room the heat was stuck in the on position and had no control knob. Second room had no blanket on the bed, only a sheet and thin decorative cover. I have stayed there in the past and was NEVER this bad and the experience this time was pretty disappointing.

The room (112) that we stayed was one of the worst I have ever been. The walls where dirty, the bathtub was rusted with missing parts, the shower head was so low sprayed below chest level and it was no exhaust fan. The ceiling wast so low also. The towels were so old that it had barely any material to dry anything. The entrance door will slam so hard it sounded like it would explode.

The room we got wasn’t clean at all. Pubic hairs in both beds plus stains. Trash and leftover food in the drawers and under the bathroom sink. The microwave was sooo dirty it had spilt noodles and broth crusted to the plate. The place was so dusty and the floor was sticky. Never again!

When my husband and I went to the room, we recognized the hotel was older, but immediately spotted the unclean bedding. We were going to work with this and ask for new bedding, but when we turned on the lamp, beside the bed, a cockroach was in plain sight. That is when we started to notice the uncleanliness of everything. My husband went to inform them we were checking out due to the bugs. Another room was offered, but it wasn’t an issue of situation that could be handled by another space, there were cockroaches. That means they are everywhere. The staff informed my husband a refund would be issued since we were checking within 30 mins of check in. The next day the same staff informed us this was not possible. It was bad enough Red Roof inn is guilty of price gouging families for parent weekend at Texas Tech. The environment was unsafe for any family and the risk of bringing home bed bugs and cockroaches is high.

Bed had stains all over the sheets and blanket. Shower did not work. Air conditioning had faulty wiring and you had to keep shaking it for it to turn on. Tv only has three channels and it’s get staticy. Elevator did not work when pressing the first floor from the third so had to use stairs when going down. A lot of issues and would never stay here again. Horrible experience but it’s very affordable.

I would give this place zero stars if it were possible. The building should be condemned. We had been driving all day and were in a pinch with few affordable options in the area. Not only was it wildly expensive for what it is— it was way worse than I even imagined a hotel could be. The images on Expedia are either old or photoshopped. Upon checking in the building is obviously in disrepair and crumbling. There were units with shattered windows. The indoor pool/lobby area is a Petri dish of mold and who knows what else. In the room, there was chewed gum stuck on the bathroom door frame, wads of hair all over the floors, what I imagine was blood stains on the bedding. The drop ceiling tiles in the bathroom were warped, moldy, and broken in various places to the point where there were holes in the ceiling. The floor was sticky, there were greasy hand prints on the surfaces. There were German cockroaches crawling around. Once I finally got home a roach fell out of my duffel bag. Front desk staff was friendly despite having to work in such heinous conditions.
