The place is close (2-3 mins walk) to the shanghai metro station (Lancun road: line 4 & line 6). Regular grocery stores nearby. Mc Donalds also 2 mins. walk away. Good street food options nearby. Hotel front end staff are not so proficient in english. But they will try their best to understand. A translation app will really help. Staff is helpful. Rooms are clean. I requested for a non smoking room and I got one. House keeping done everyday in room. A cozy room for good price in a great location. Everything went perfect. Only one small issue, the AC was not working but called on the reception and they sent a person to repair. I learnt the small technique how to get the AC working. So next time when AC wasn't working I applied the small technique myself and got it running (didn't need to call the repair guy). Apart from this minor shortcoming, everything went well during my stay at Guanglanyuan Hotel.

Very good hotel. Clean. Friendly staff but no one spoke English - I had to use my Translator app and type the things I needed communicated. Room was spacious and clean. No breakfast but there is a McDonalds a block away. Although I liked it, I'd say that it is not for a foreigner.

This is a mid-level hotel between Pudian Road and Lancun Road Metro Stations on Dongfang Road. The room was large and mostly clean, but had a stain on the carpet which we hid with a table. The AC and WiFi worked well. Our view was toward a park-totally green. The staff was friendly and they accept foreign credit cards. There is a ยฅ100 room key deposit which they put on the credit card and at checkout indicated they would not charge that slip and made another bill. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel and a convenience store next door. Like other hotels in China the key card controls the electricity and elevator.

Okay for business trips.

Decent place for the money I was paying. Place is relatively nice and okay. Again, for the money you're paying. It's not comparable to one of those well-known hotel chains, but if you're on business trip, this place should do. Clost to the subway station, and located in the middle of the city so quite comfortable to roam around at night. The only downside for me was that the desk people didn't speak English. Used the translation app to communicate, so install one before you visit.
