Fall Break

The house is in an excellent location and a very short walk to the beach with 2 access points. The house does need some TLC along with the pool and outdoor furniture. Covers on the sofas need to be replaced due to stains. The downstairs master bedroom could use new carpet or a good cleaning.The kitchen was very well stocked. It was nice having 2 refrigerators. Lots of room for multiple families. Would rent again after some TLC.

Nice property, very bad property manager

I liked the house, it was as expected. Spacious, nice rooms, plenty of dining and seating. But, the local property management was awful. Even though I listed the guests, they require you send a separate email to list drivers and cars to get into the gated community. I did this, but never got a response. I was given a pass, but when my daughter arrived, she was denied access thru the gate. Emailed again, and again, no response. Even now, no response. Moral of the story, nice house, but if you decide to rent it, harass the property manager incessantly until you get a response. Having to stop cooking on Thanksgiving to drive to the gatehouse and get your daughter isn’t fun.

Great family vacation!!

It was a great house for my family! Everyone had their own space. Only had an issue with the coffee maker-management replaced it the same day. A very short walk to the beach! A great time was had by all!!!!

Southern Sun

Beds very comfortable! Good living space on main floor with great lighting. Decks were upstairs off bedrooms which was difficult with having to move food upstairs for deck setting and sun setting. No reliable handrails as can’t grasp around. Coffee pot broken and dirty. Had to call vacasa and they brought one the next morning. No move in help as resort vacation used to have. Kitchen not well stocked. Would have enjoyed better pans and some leftover dishes that had lids. Would I rent again, possibly with some upgrades happening!

The house was very comfortable for our family. Our 9 year old loved the game room and pool. There was a very short and easy walk to the beach which was convenient for the octogenarian in the family.

House is okay. Management company lacking.

This house has a great layout and location. Lots of privacy and separate bathrooms for eberyone. House needed some tlc, and a deep clean. The pool screen was all ripped, entire panels out, which we offered to fix and asked for a roll of duct tape. There was a roach in the kitchen. I only saw one, and I do understand this is part of living in the south. The trash cans were OVERFLOWING when we arrived. We called daily about trash pick up. After being there four days we finally got an extra can. The neighbors trash all went twice during our stay. The yard had trash in it. Weeds everywhere. Leftover frames from beach tents. If I were this homeowner, I'd be disappointed in the management of this house. We would probably stay somewhere else for our 6k per week.

Friends getaway

When we arrived at 5:30 cleaning crew was still there left around 5:45pm our check in time was 4:00pm. Cleaning crew had pizza cooking in oven Floors were dirty had black dog hair everywhere. Pool towels were still in dryer we had to fold had to buy cleaning supplies to sweep and mop floors. Turned lights on in kitchen one night and there were water bugs on counter and in floor. Air on third floor wasn’t working however that was fixed promptly. Screen around pool had holes we ended up with a snake in the pool. I would recommend homeowner check the property out. Unfortunately we paid good money for a vacation that we had to clean our self after cleaning crew left. When reported we received sorry for our inconvenience please enjoy our stay. There were 5 adult women and we feel that our money could have been spent on better home

A Great Place to Unwind

The pool and living room were smaller than they appeared on line. I emailed our information for drivers on Sat. morning as we were on our way to Florida. Even after contacting Vacasa 3 times after we arrived, the gate staff never had our information in their computers which meant we never received a pass. The staff did let us in because I had our confirmation number. I'm not sure where the mis- communication was happening. The location and the house were great for our family and the extra tables for eating were an added benefit. The bedrooms were a nice size. We had a wonderful week. (The dolphins put on a show for us each day.) This was our 5th trip to St George Island. It is a perfect place to relax and just enjoy being together as a family.

Great location and space!

Will definitely be staying again! Casa Del Mar is our favorite sub division in the Plantation. We were right across from the beach. Heated pool, outdoor fish cleaning area and plenty of space. The ceiling fans could use a dusting though, not a deal breaker! Will be back again.

Dolphins and plumbing.

This is a lovely large sunny house. Walks on the beach kept us going as we worked remotely from here during the month of February. We had a garbage disposal issue (back up sewage into the sink also when dishwasher was running) which was extended by inability to reach our contact person (I should say we we really really liked her) because of her mid-week days off. She worked hard to fix it when she came back on line and we had a plumber at the house after 3 days.

Get out of Winter

This was a nice property in a gated area. The house large with plenty of room for our 7 person group. The kitchen was a nice size with pans and utensils for cooking. The beach was across the street and it was nice to have a heated pool since it was cooler the week we were there in the 50's two days going into the 60's . Suggestions for next time. The house could have used a little more cleaning and with a large group staying a week we should have been left with more than two garbage sacks for the week, probably one for each day of our stay.

Great location

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house in this wonderful location. Perfect house for our extended family vacation. We were thankful for quick communication with VACSA when helping us out or answering our questions. There were many nice surprises like cards and some outdoor games, beach toys, beach chairs, etc. (perhaps left by previous renters) and we enjoyed using those. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. We loved how close to the beach we were! We would love to come back here! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Beautiful Home on St George Island

This was a beautiful home just a short walk to the beach. Much larger than it appears in the pictures and includes a pool. Nicely furnished with everything you need for your stay. I would highly recommend and will return again!
