A superb cottage with every need taken care of, even the pooches have their own feeding station, blankets and treats! We loved the house with its high tech additions and the garden room and outdoor space are a wonderful addition too. We enjoyed evenings up there, playing board games whilst the resident owl called out across the garden. Inside both the house and garden room, the owners have done an amazing job, ensuring comfort and style in such a small space. They’ve really thought about the needs of those staying and it’s hugely appreciated. The infra red paintings heating the cottage were amazingly effective and we loved having speakers too. One thing steals the show though - the kitchen cabinet is something to behold ! Only one small thing to note- The stairs are extremely narrow and curved and probably best avoided by those with small children or mobility issues. The cottage is remote, on the western edge of Dartmoor ( we had a very close encounter with a Highland cow, in the late evening as we arrived !) which means it’s completely peaceful and serene. We packed loads of sightseeing in across Dartmoor and the immediate area. It’s also easy to reach north Cornwall beaches and south Devon beaches from the house. We did both and found the central location a great option. Overall a peaceful, well equipped holiday property with owners who obviously take enormous pride in the cottage. A wonderful stay and we look forward to returning.
