The owners were amazing. Easy to deal with and they checked up with me daily to see how things were going. They are in the process of updating every room of this rental. They have focused on the high traffic areas first. The pool area, deck, and gazebo are amazing. I wish we had the time to enjoy them. Once the upgrades have been completed this property will be amazing

Not as Advertised

The pool area was nice enough and the owner came across as a nice enough guy who is working hard to fix the place up and manage the property by himself. However, I feel mislead by this whole experience. The property listing is inaccurate. Listed as 2 bathroom but is really only 1 full bath plus 1/2 bath with no shower / tub. Listed as 3 bedrooms but is only 2 bedrooms plus loft. Also, very odd that one of the beds was located in the kitchen / dining area. The unit is also in the middle of being refurbished which is not mentioned in the listing. Instead of sending pre-arrival instructions and a lock-box code or other info about how to enter the unit; the owner indicated he would be on-site upon arrival. In fact, the host was on-site for 2-3 hours upon arrival cleaning up and doing some minor repairs. I would not have knowingly rented this place to bring my family to if we knew it was in the middle of being refurbished and did not include the amenities highlighted on the listing. One shower for 7 people was not as advertised and is not acceptable. I was also unhappy about being surprised a few days before arrival to learn about a house cleaning and pool cleaning fees that were not included in the VRBO pricing when I booked the place. I went along with it to avoid a hassle, but was annoyed to find out the owner did not hire a professional pool cleaning service or professional house cleaning service with these supplemental fees.

Our staff loved Mark and his home

We have a sales company and we needed a house with a pool close to the Saratoga race track. My guys loved the place. It is undergoing some renovations, but Mark is accommodating and kind. The pool was fantastic and the location could not be beat. We hope to stay there every time we come back for the sale in August, the same spot.

Ongoing Renovations

Every room in the duplex was in the middle of some sort of unfinished renovation project. There were exposed electrical wires coming out of the ceiling, a half built pantry closet, screws through the sheet rock from the wall on the other side poking through, ripped out base molding, unfinished flooring, and building materials laying around. Additionally the closets had the owner’s clothing in them, the refrigerator had food in it, the pool was filthy, one of the bedrooms had no AC and the grill didn’t work.
