A late booking, so reduced price in July. 2 adults. Stayed in a week that started chilly and wet, ending hot and pleasant.Flat has nice features, excellent furnishings and there’s a lovely walk to town and see museums, parks etc and we enjoyed the stay. Purchase fresh milk, wine, convenience food and snacks from small convenience store opposite.Downside: glazed garden door from bedroom missing a blind, had to sort ourselves covering with black bin liner. Ability to turn on heating not a feature - think boiler was turned to water-heating only for the summer, bath towels remained wet. The front door has a bit of a gap and weather cool. The advertised tumble dryer wasn’t accessible, not that we needed. Contacted owners who were apologetic about blind, they had decided to lock laundry room with low shelving and would remove dryer from spec, though I see that hasn’t happened 1 month on. Advice about heating clearly didn’t work, so we just added layers of clothing in the evening. We thought icebox in fridge was frozen shut but turned out to be some previous occupants’ frozen chorizo sausages which we threw out. Also found empty lipgloss rolled under bed.We decided to take our recyclable rubbish home.If we’d paid full whack I’d have liked more responsiveness to issues, but they were small. In the garden bedroom and 24/7 drip which we also let owners know. You will hear flat above in garden bedroom.
