Spacious private cabin on the mighty Mississippi, 1/2 mile to Lake Winnie.

Cozy 3-bedroom, private home located on the Mississippi River , 1/2 mile from Lake Winnibigoshish. No smoking/No pets. Large kitchen/dining room with a large table as well as seating at the kitchen island. Comfy living room with fireplace and a fantastic view of the River. Deck off the dining room with a patio table and patio swing to enjoy the water view. Large fire ring with ample seating in the front yard overlooking the water as well. Truly a vacation paradise. Private covered boat slip that can accommodate 2 boats.
Your boat(s) can be launched for a fee at either Four Seasons or McArdles Resorts, two of our friendly neighboring resorts. Gasoline and bait can also be purchased from these resorts. These resorts are only 1 mile from our place.
DO NOT use Becker’s Resort. They are not at all friendly to our VRBO guests.

This cabin is on a great location on the Mississippi, about a mile (?) from the mouth to Winnibigoshish. The cabin itself is beautiful, with a cozy living room and updated kitchen. We had our two daughters staying in the same room for the first two nights, but the older one complained that the younger one was waking her up in the middle of the night singing, so it was great to have a spare bedroom in which she could sleep. Would love to come back

Couples fall fishing trip

This cabin was great, ample room for 3 couples and having the extra half bath was nice. Doug and Cathy have everything covered so you can just come and enjoy. Dock space for our three boats, with power at the dock. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit Winnie

The family loves this house and it worked perfect for us. The kids fished from the dock and it was close enough to our friends cabins that it was an ideal.

Great Place on (or near) Winnibigoshish

We booked this place last minute, but the process couldn't have been easier. Everything we could have possibly needed was in the cabin, along with some welcome candies on the dining room table. The home was amazing, and the three bedroom/two bath layout was perfect for us with a 4YO and 15 month old. Super cozy, but with enough room to spread out and feel like you're really on vacation. We were only able to use the fire pit on the last night, but that specifically was a great experience. I'd love to stay there again in the future. Thanks for having us!

Awesome place!

We stayed 3 nights at this cabin and it was an amazing place to stay. The dock system was perfect for our boats with shelter over the top of them. The cabin was very clean and they thought of everything to supply. We loved it so much we are already discussing when to book again. Thank you for the amazing stay!

A perfect spot!

This is our second straight having fishing trip on Lake Winnie and staying at the cabin and it was just as great as the first. The cabin is exactly what you would need; from the dock on the Mississippi, to the fire pit out back, to the spacious bedrooms and living room area, to phenomenal hosts. This is a perfect rental property and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Nancy & Doug!

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful 3 day stay. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. The accommodations were comfortable and included everything we needed for a fun family weekend. We did some fishing and really appreciated the easy fish cleaning station and the outdoor freezer for the fish trash to be left in. The fire pit made for great evenings and the view was peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and already planning to return with friends.

Gorgeous, scenic cabin life

This property is peaceful, cute and has everything you need for a great stay. Nancy and Doug think of everything that would need from fish cleaning to all the house amenities. We had an unfortunate accident with our boat trailer and didn’t get to explore lake Winnie but we did limit out on leech one day with a guide! At night the fire pit and videos down the Mississippi as the sun sets are absolutely as good as it gets in northern mn. Only thing I’d let future guests be aware of is the owner of the resort next door isn’t a big fan of the vrbo next door so keep that in mind if you venture over :) Overall 5 stars! We went to Chippewa national forest and the Norway beach (13 min drive) when we didn’t have a boat and it’s on cass lake with great beach and picnic area plus hiking trails. Highly recommend.

fantastic cabin with great location

This was a great long weekend for 5 friends that get together once a year. Nancy was a fantastic host. Property is waaayyyy nicer than other fishing cabins we have stayed at. dock couldn't be nicer. Short and scenic trip to lake.
