"-Maintenence issues, shower door broken, headboard broken. Sheets didn't fit the bed. TV in wrong position. Shower at the wrong height. "Our stay was absolutely wonderful!. The room was spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and everything well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Dylan the hotel manager, and Clinton..the night porter went above and beyond for us, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. And the beach view from our room was breathtaking-waking up to the sea and watching the sunset was the perfect touch to our trip. We’d definitely come back again!"

Savoy Blackpool Hotel

"The Savoy is a mixture of good and bad. The public rooms are beautiful with a lot of original features. Our suite at first glance looked fresh and clean but on closer inspection the bathroom was quite dirty. The bath at some time was a Jacuzzi but this no longer functioned as such. The tiles on the bathroom floor were incredibly slippery - we had to lay towels over the entire floor. We would have liked bath robes to be available. However the biggest problem was the lack of food options. The restaurant closed at 7pm and meals had to be booked in advance. We checked and there were only 2 people dining. The web site states that bar snacks are available all day but this is not the case. No bar snacks are available at any time. We stayed for 4 nights and the room was not serviced at all during that time. Breakfast was superb - freshly cooked, tasty. Lovely coffee. The staff were all lovely but I think at times they were a bit stressed. To sum up - the hotel would benefit from a huge cash input and the meal issue needs to be sorted. We usually stay at the Imperial in Blackpool and feel that the Savoy could easily rival this with a few changes. We shall certainly consider staying again next year."

"Staff were very helpful and did all they could to make our stay pleasurable. The bar area was fine and the bar staff were helpful. The sea view area at the front was very nice and Comfortable. Whilst the room was decorated, the bed wasn’t comfortable, sofa bed was classified and double bed however it was horrific to sleep on. Breakfast’s price was reasonable, continental option was good but the full English was average ."

"I’m really disappointed with our stay at this hotel and feel it’s important to warn others. We arrived late in the evening and only managed to sleep a few hours before discovering multiple bed bugs in the room the next morning. Given we arrived so late, we didn’t notice them straight away, but finding several the next day was extremely upsetting and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom was also in a very poor condition. There were visible skid marks in the toilet, the shower curtain was mouldy, and the sink was completely blocked so it didn’t drain properly. The room also had a strong, unpleasant smell which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. We all ended up with bites, which made the situation even more worrying. My daughter had her expensive cheer uniform with her, and after discovering everything we had to get it professionally cleaned straight away just to be sure we didn’t risk bringing anything home. Since returning, the whole family has been paranoid and anxious about whether anything may have come back with us."
