「Hotel was very well appointed and perfectly clean. It was convenient to have a bar at the hotel, and it had very good food. The staff were extremely helpful. The shuttle, which ran every hour into Charleston avoided driving and parking concerns. All in all a very excellent experience! 」

「We loved the property. The only negative for me was the tall balcony barrier. We had to stand up to get an unobstructed view. 」

「The property was nice. Transportation into town was difficult due to the distance. It took over 30 minutes to get an uber or cab. The price was high for the nightly rate and the rooms at the Boardwalk could use a little refreshing. The staff was nice, however I have had better service at resorts that cost the same price. Lastly, the resort does not offer a shuttle service around the property. I found this odd… I had to walk from the main check in area (different building) with my luggage...

「Only problem was our tv was not getting all the Chanel’s went to the desk they said would send someone fight up waited 2 hrs no show. Called down 2 more times, same response and never showed up. When we checked out we reported this and all we got was sorry. Not good enough.」

「Check in was simple and easy, parking is in a lot half a block across the street. Room interior was as described, balcony was tiny, barely enough room for 2 people. Kitchen was very small with almost no counter space. Stove and oven was tricky to figure out as all the markings on the knobs have worn off. Property was ok, small basic pools indoor and out. Good place for 2-3 people max. Access to the beach was good. Overall I'd give it a low 4 overall.」

「We just got back on Saturday from a week stay at the Surf Shack. We had a wonderful vacation and the Surf Shack was a great place to stay. The owner responded quickly to any questions we had and the neighbors on both sides were very friendly and offered great recommendations on restaurants. We enjoyed the porch and it was a great place for our dog to hang out since it was fenced in. We will definitely rent the Surf Shack again!!」

「The property is really nice, but don't depend on the restaurant to enjoy a nice meal. They appeared to be short-staffed and very inattentive. We attempted to eat there four times during our stay to no avail. Never even got our drink order taken. However, the property is very nice, clean, and in close proximity to many attractions. 」
