This two-bedroom house feels pastoral, but is 15 minutes from Cornell and 20 minutes from downtown Ithaca. Large living room features huge windows and a wood stove. Foodie kitchen has a massive island for cooking and entertaining. Main bedroom upstairs has a king bed; downstairs bedroom features a day bed with full mattress. Outside, the deck has a private hot tub with an idyllic view, the patio has seating for six, and the fire pit comes with wood to make your evening even more magical.

Perfect for Cornell graduation

I rented the property for the weekend for the Cornell graduation. It was close enough to the school to go back and forth easily, although the house was relatively isolated. The owners were terrific and went above and beyond when I lost something in the house. It was the most well stocked kitchen I have ever seen ( including my own!) and the owners were very generous to share. My only negative was that the master bathroom was down a set of challenging steps from the master bedroom. It meant that my aging parents would not stay in the bigger room bc they were afraid of navigating the stairs at night.

Girls and pups weekend

We had a great weekend in the Finger Lakes with Dawn’s lovely house as our home base. It was beautifully decorated, well appointed, and the fire pit and hot tub were the pieces de resistance. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous rural getaway

Dawn’s house is a beautiful oasis on former farmlands, surrounded by wetlands and unmown pastures full of wildflowers. The living spaces are comfortable and attractive, and the kitchen is a cook’s dream! After the sun goes down, sit in the hot tub and watch the fireflies coruscate across the field and in the surrounding trees—better than any firework display! And Dawn is extremely kind and responsive to questions. We had a perfect weekend.

Reconnecting in Ithaca

We all had an excellent time during our stay at Dawns home. The house was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials needed. The house is very comfortable as we were 2 couples sharing the house. The location of the home makes for an easy commute into downtown Ithaca and all the gorges and falls. We enjoyed the hot tub especially after hiking those gorges. The plus for us was the ability to bring along our 2 pups for the weekend. Dawn was always quick to respond to any questions both before our weekend stay and during. Dawn is a wonderful host. We would definitely recommend a stay at Dawns home.

Tranquil Getaway close to Ithaca

Perfect spot for our 4 day getaway—wished we had longer! Very tastefully furnished, and hot tub, large kitchen and open floor plan made for a super relaxing stay. Great little patio for coffee outside in the mornings and enough land for our chocolate lab to explore and enjoy. Host was an email away if any help needed, but very respectful of privacy and space!

Beautiful place!

This house is in a beautiful location! The house itself is lovely and clean. The property is very nice and only about 20 minutes from downtown Ithaca. We had a wonderful stay and were able to have a fire in the fire pit on our second night- the wood was provided and already in a cart for easy access. We had a great time, and the owner was very kind and easy to communicate with.

Rural idyll not far from Ithaca

We stayed in this property for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The home has everything you could ask for, including a fully stocked kitchen. The home was spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. The owner made check-in a breeze and was extremely accommodating, even allowing us to bring our two Labradors. We had a great stay and would definitely return.

The property was terrific, private and green. The lovely house was sparkling clean and a peaceful, charming oasis for us during a busy weekend.
