It is a rural property hence we see quite a few bugs inside and outside house. One of the door couldn't lock properly, after check out we communicate to the owner and the owner said "the door wasn't broken before your stay". The owner deduct some money from our deposit claiming the house wasn't clean. However in my opinion upon booking the house we already paid for the cleaning fee as clearly stated in separate cleaning item. The owner expect the house to be very clean which is a bit too high expectation, after all we have 11 people stayed for 2 nights so there will be things accidentally dropped on floor and we didn't think we need to spring clean the property upon check out. The owner also expected us to unload the dishwasher before we leave the property (when we first arrive the dishwasher wasn't unloaded we have to unload it, maybe cleaner forgot to do that). Before check out we hand washed some cups and left it beside the sink to dry but the owner complained about that. The owner also claimed and below are her exact words from message "you also used the hand soup in the shower you are supposed to bring your own toiletries it doesn't say anywhere that we provide these". I don't understand why we can't use the hand soup (I didn't use it we brought our own toiletries but we have few families so might be one of kids used it?) Having said that I have to say after communication the owner refund the deducted deposit to us. But the experience of communication was unpleasant. The house has nice view and is really new, living room is spacious. The owner respond to question fairly quickly. Also when we asked if we can have late check out the owner said yes without hesitation which is much appreciated (we still checked out on time but I appreciate the offer).
