"The place is maintained clean and the staff is great. The property needs major updates. Our room was nice but the shower door was falling and the main door to the bathroom wouldn’t lock. I paid for what according to Expedia was the best room in the property, so not was very disappointing to come to this. Another downfall is the hotel people trying to sell you activities and or timeshare, is almost like a flea market once you come to the lobby, very anointing to be approached every time for the same people. "

"We stayed in one of the ocean view junior suites. We loved the view from the balcony, and the water pressure in the shower was great, but the room was a bit dated, and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. We did enjoy going to the gym everyday, as well as hanging out by the pool and swimming in the beautiful water. We tried the gourmet restaurant Krystal and the Japanese restaurant Sakura; both were just okay.. We ended up at the buffet for most of our meals, and loved the little coffee place by the lobby. This resort is very clean, the staff was super friendly, and they have 3 pools - something for everyone. Personally, I don't care for the party scene but we met so many nice people and had a lot of fun wherever we went. Riu Palace runs like a well oiled machine, something I appreciate. Overall, we loved our weeklong stay here and would come back in a heartbeat!"

"My spouse and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Live Aqua. The property is stunning, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and the food was delicious. The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools—such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy—it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10–15 minutes from Cancun’s vibrant club zone. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience."

"I stayed there for the second time after a two day trip elsewhere. My first room was good but the second one was even better. Beautiful, well furnished and spotlessly clean. I had dinner in the restaurant and although a little pricey the food was tasty and had an originality about it. The free breakfast was very good and set me up for the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again, it was brilliant. "
