I loved that the hotel/apartment was very well-located downtown Ottawa, a few minutes from Parliament Hill, museums, the market, etc. Also that the studio was very clean and spacious. It had a complete kitchen (full fridge, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, lots of pots and pans, plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery (even a paring knife), coffee machine with coffee and tea bags, paper towels, detergent, salt & pepper, tea towels, etc. For someone on a strict diet, it’s possible to manage without a problem. The bed/bedding was comfortable, and it had plenty of space for our things. Large TV with Netflix, Apple, Roku and Crave. And parking underground on the premises (paid separately, but quite convenient). Registration: easy online (didn’t interact with the reception). On the negative side I found that the information the hotel collects on their guests is a bit intrusive. To their credit, they say on their website that the info gets deleted after the guests check out, but since it’s done by a third party, it makes me nervous to think it might not be the case. I’d rather check in in person showing my driver’s license. Overall, I’m more than happy with our stay at Sonders Ottawa Rideau.
