Easter stay

The Cockhaven is conveniently situated midway between Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. It is dog friendly and appears to have a very good food trade. Breakfast was filling and tasty but as a solo traveller I wasn't given a choice of table. As for the room it was comfortable if a little dated and it was a surprise to find an overhead bath shower. Also a little disappoimtimg that no fresh milk was offered but pleasing that the room was cleaned daily and complimentary water and biscuits replenished, Reasonable value for money for a couple but less so if you are a single traveller.

Stay very nice. Only criticism was the northern gentleman serving breakfast rather loudly telling a couple of northern guests how much he hates southerners. Not a problem but don’t say it out loud with a full restaurant.

Fantastic stay. Great food and lovely staff

We had a great stay here. The family room was great. The food in the evenings is really good and the breakfasts were also really good. All of the staff are great. We will definitely return here. It is a really great place.

Really lovely friendly place to stay

Stayed here for two nights and had a really great room very spacious and clean and a massive bathroom. Only managed to eat in the restaurant for one night of the two but the food was lovely and very filling. Breakfast was lovely and the fresh coffee was nice. The staff where really friendly especially a young lad that was working there. He amazed me at how polite and helpful he was to all the guests, even though at the time they where really short staffed. I will look forward to my next stay in the future.
