My group and I had a wonderful experience with this rental property! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a fun cabin weekend. The host was incredibly accommodating and let us check-in early to get everything we needed for the weekend setup. I can definitely see renting this property again in the future!

Quite wooded retreat.

A very quiet stay in the woods on a hill top cabin. You are able to unplugging and relaxing, yet only 10 minutes from the downtown shops and restaurants of Boothbay Harbor. A House of Pizza and a Hannafords Grocery store is right down the road. The botanical gardens was an excellent adventure and a must see. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin.

Woodsy Retreat

Loved the setting and the fresh pine scent indoors and out. The turkeys foraging in the early morning were a pleasant surprise. The expansive deck was perfect for nighttime stargazing. Only drawbacks were no microwave or outdoor grill and could not get TV to work.

A Cool Week in Maine

My family of 3 daughters, spouses, and four grandchildren had a wonderful stay at Beaver Run Cabin. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen so we could make many of our own meals. We also liked the quiet, removed from the hustle and bustled.

Great getaway with our kids and grandchildren.

We had a wonderful family vaca. Great location close to all the areas attractions. The BBQ grill needs to be replaced and there was no gas. We did refill the tank but would not use it due to its terrible condition.

Comfortable Home

This was a spacious open cottage atop a hill. It had a great working kitchen with ample cooking vessels and plenty of dishes. It was very quiet. The wifi was ample for some who had to work from home. The outside deck was huge with lots of places to sit. I liked that the TV was put where is didn't dominate the communal open space. The place was clean and bright. I'd rent it again.

Check-in was easy and we were offered an early check-in. The cabin is beautiful and accommodated our entire crew. Unfortunately, the fridge stopped working (these things happen) but it took a day and a half to get someone to respond, all of our food spoiled. Things to help plan your stay- water is not drinkable (bring your own), the property is more of a glimpse of the lake rather than lakefront and it is difficult to access the lake. Location is within 10 minutes of Boothbay.

Boothbay getaway

The location seemed remote even though we were not far from grocery stores and Boothbay Harbor. Kayaking in the nearby pond was fun. Lack of city lights made stargazing awesome! The perfect place for a family reunion.

Relaxing long weekend

Enjoyed everything the property and town had to offer,,, only down fall was,, and mind you do understand the house is settled in wooded area but many insects and spiders in the cabinets and had to clean the bowls and dishes just because of that but other than that very enjoyable atmosphere and would come back again,,, Thnakyou for everything, Brian Scafidi

slept a lot but not comfortable

All but one bed was comfortable--we didn't sleep well. Upstairs shower was dribbling..no pressure. No firewood for a firepit. Walk to lake was too dangerous--steep hill. No tv in family room. There needs to be a railing on the first set of stairs going up.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We (4 adults and 1 child) enjoyed our weekend stay in this lovely home. Spacious rooms and closets. The information provided about access to this property was helpful. We did experience some problems and we have some recommendations too. First, the door lock failed and we called for support. After a 30 minute wait, we heard from Joe who directed us to the keys. The keys worked and then Sarah arrived to replace the lock. Both were friendly and professional. We used the keys for the remainder of our stay. Second, the Wifi required frequent reboots but when working, it worked well. We missed having a TV in the LR (hoped to watch movies together) and the TV area on the 2nd floor lacked furniture. The appliances worked well and the furniture was comfortable. Recommendations: do something about the rusted radiators, clean the ceiling lamps and upper windows next to the chimney, add a switch to the lamp near the sliding doors in the MBR, include a description of the coffee maker type in your listing, make sure linens are in good condition.

Great Stay in Booth Bay

The cabin was very clean and nicely renovated. The location was beautiful but be aware that many of the local attractions around here close down for the winter. Even many of the restaurants were closed.

Comfortable and close

We booked some time ago and we’re happy with the overall experience. The central, but secluded location was much as advertised. Three things would have helped. There was no microwave at all. The TV would not turn on, and the two remotes were the same, and did not work, even with a battery change. My guess is the remote we needed was not present, this was not a factor for the adults, but we could have used it in an evening or two for the kids. The final item is water access to the lake, the issue here was related to no information on what and where. On a side note the first two days were hot. The house had fans, but only the ceiling fans worked. All three box fans did not. We called Maint and he replaced the fans the next day which helped, but the TV he could not help with. I would go here again, the positives far outweigh any of the challenges. !!

Boothbay Harbor hideaway

Lovely spot in the woods. Feels remote but only 10 minutes to Boothbay Harbor and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Definitely at the top of a big hill but cozy with all the amenities. Would stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was easy. As mentioned in some previous reviews, there are some parts of the property that are in need of repair (window latches, a fan, a couple of other things). But the cabin easily hosted our group of 7 and was very comfortable. Be warned if you come in the winter - the driveway is steep and unpaved.
