Savoy Insular

We had an amazing stay in the centre of Funchal with this great apartment. The space is modern, very well equipped and the rooftop pool is awesome with views of the town and port. An Island Apart were very easy to communicate with and gave good recommendations on food etc nearby. We had a small problem with the hot water which was fixed almost immediately once we informed them, even on a Saturday! Will definitely be back :)

Great property but staff unhelpful

The apartment was really great but I found teh check in and check out procedure to be terrible. At check in I was kept waiting half an hour parked illegally until I could get access to the garage below the apartment and even then it was only because the building security man arrived that I could access it. When I checked out there was noone available to help so I had to remove my car from the garage before again having to leave it parked in a very dodgy place while I ran back into the building and up to the 3rd floor to leave the keys in the apartment. When I called to ask for help checking out I was told that noone could come and they weren't aware of the situation with getting cars out of the garage so had no suggestions to help. Not helpful at all. Shame as otherwise the apartment was really great
