"Amazingly serene and peaceful location. Beautiful mountains around the ancient caldera adds to the uniqueness of the Hotel. Golf driving range as well as a full course is attached to the property. "
"The room was amazing! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! Wish we would’ve booked for 2 nights. One night was not enough! Would recommend this ryokan! "
"Excellent hotel from a room and dining standpoint. We loved the buffet breakfast and dinners. The room was extremely spacious…stayed in a western room with 2 beds and 3 tatami mats. The onset was lovely as well. Only downside was the distance from main attractions was a 30 min bus ride. "
"A really nice hotel with really helpful staff. The rooms were a great size, with comfortable beds and private bathroom. For the price I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area"
"Felt very intimate. However, please be weary of travel to this location through bus because it is on a hill. Otherwise, the hotel was very peaceful and lovely."

"We had a spacious room, once we found the place. The map app on my phone had us going through another hotel. But once we figured it out it was all good. "
"Amazing place by the lake with excellent views. Room was a good size with a sofa and a balcony overlooking the lake. Very peaceful, near the two gondolas and Hakone Shrine."

"The pictures online don’t do the surrounding area justice. It’s tucked in a beautiful woodsy area. The staff was okay. Their attitude was a bit underwhelming. We knew we couldn’t go to them if we needed something or had questions. There was definitely a huge language barrier which made it hard to understand the amenities. We were very confused about how the women and men’s baths worked. We understood that from a certain time in the morning women were allowed and then men after?? So we thought it was a unisex bath?? I don’t really know it wasn’t explained well and we didn’t know if tattoos were excepted. We ended up just using our private one in our room which was nice. The room and hotel itself seems a bit old and run down. Also, we had a huge room and the bathroom was SUPER small. The smallest we’ve seen since our stay here in Japan. It was nice for a night but I wouldn’t spend the money on more than one night here. I think it’s something to experience just for the private bath in the room for a night maybe two."

"Very nice, spacious, and clean. Within easy walking distance of the cable car and pirate cruise ship Would gladly stay here again! One note: public transportation to here ends early: around 5 pm. After that, you must use a taxi. And there's not many restaurant options. "
