Top 5 worst stays, and I have a high tolerance for budget hotels. I’m not picky. All I need is a clean room and comfortable bed. The bad: The room smelled dirty and musty. It wasn’t horrible at first but my lungs and sinuses struggled after being in the room for 2 hours. I opened the window (0 degrees outside) and turned around in the bed to get close to the fresh air. It helped, but I still couldn’t sleep. Bed sheets looked clean and didn’t smell, but they just didn’t feel clean. My room key was a physical key. The door to my room door wasn’t latched, so I didn’t even get the opportunity to use it. I was so tired that I went into the room anyway. The door just needed a good push to latch. Thankfully, the room did not looked lived in. The good: Front desk checkin attendant was polite, professional, and efficient. Overall, except for the door latch thing, I felt safe. There’s not much around and I didn’t see very many other tenants. There was some banging about 3 am, but I didn’t hear any voices and the banging didn’t last long. I will be skipping this hotel next time.

I thought the bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The property was nicely decorated for Halloween, but the side entrance doors were not accessible because the sensor for the keys was broken. The hallway that led to my room was noisy (kids screaming and watching TV loudly in the hall) and dirty. My room smelled like cigarettes, had large stains on the floor by the bed, and the refrigerator leaked and had grease on the shelves inside that I had to wipe out before I could store my food. The bathtub also was unclean, so I did not use the shower. Staff were OK, some were friendly and some were not interested in engaging beyond necessary communications. If you stay here, you get what you pay for I'd say.

Air conditioner in room was extremely loud and had to be turned off for a good night’s sleep our second night. Mattress sunk in the middle. There was mold in the bathroom and repaired walls and ceiling looked terrible. On second morning juice and ice machines were out of order, as well as fitness room. Room door did not seal tight and would be considered a safety issue.

Room smelled of takeout. It was humid with humidifier going, soon realized it was likely due to the damp carpet and wondered if something gross happened. Staff walked into our room using a key card to ask if we've seen a yellow pillow, a guest left one behind. No knock or anything. All the TVs in the building stopped working until the next morning. Three power outlets in the room didn't work, I had to find a way to plug in my cpap. Breakfast had one yogurt and one bagel left. I don't know why I even bothered returning this second time. I guarantee it was the last. Never again.

Not what one expects

Arrived exhausted and went to bed immediately. In morning discovered bathroom to be in poor condition- toilet seat stained, faucet tap set so loose that it almost came off sink when attempting to turn on water, floor sticky, etc. The bed defied all attempts to allow user to find a comfortable position for sleep. Duvet on bed showed signs of blood spotting on inside white side of the duvet that appeared to have been there for a considerable period of time-like weeks. The morning discoveries were upsetting and a good reminder of, no matter how tired you are, to throughly check the room over before settling in.

A working man's motel.

Our room was adequate for our purpose, a quick overnight stay. I call this type of motel a working man's motel. There were many workman's trucks in the lot. The room could be have used a major update. The one bedside lamp didn't work, there was not enough outlets charge our devices and you had to make sure the wall switch was on. The hair dryer was missing and the room was very dark. The breakfast was very carb forward and minimal.
