Having stayed at more expensive Disney properties, I couldn't recommend the All-Star Movies Resort more for families with small children for ease and fun factor! I booked because exterior entry rooms felt COVID friendly and my son went nuts over the photos of Dalmation statues, but this property exceeded my expectations. At check-in I mentioned my four-year-old loved 101 Dalmations, and they gave us a room right next to the giant Dalmation statues...walking to the other themed areas was fun for my kids and both pools were great. The cartoon-themed murphy beds were a treat for my kids as well, overall, the design of the rooms felt modern and thoughtfully laid out given the compact floorplan. The bathroom was perfect for what we needed and the mini-fridge station allowed us to set-up shop for a few days and feel right at home. Even the little playground was fun for the kids.
Due to COVID the buses felt a little lagging but given the extremely convenient parking access at this resort, we easily hopped in our car when needed and parked for free at the parks. The location was perfect, super close to Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach, which we visited. Disney is doing their best with mobile order/food service amidst the COVID restrictions, but as expected, I wouldn't stay here for the food. Though decent value on family meals if needed before or after a big day. Bottom line, this resort is a tremendous Disney value for families with small children!!
