Great location, rustic charm

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect - short walk to the beach through a shaded neighborhood, and then an easy walk to the downtown. The house was a more rustic vintage style, not modern luxury, which is what we loved about it. Plenty of space for our family of 6. This was our first stay in Seaside and we’d stay here again if we come back!

300 steps to the beach!

Casual, comfy, eclectic, and super convenient location to Publix, beach, and restaurants. Seagrove Village Cafe short walk right around the corner.

Family trip

Loved the original beach house surrounded by the old Magnolia and Live Oak trees. Spent most of the time on the screened in porch when we were at the house. Easy walk to the beach and Seaside. Beds were good and home was clean.

When I opened the door it was like home swee home. So nostalgic. Precious vintage screened in porch. Sweet peaceful white bedrooms. Just a step back into time. We had such a delightful time and plan to stay at Memories again in the future.

Awesome location

House could not have been in a better location. Close to everything. The house itself was so quaint and cozy. Absolutely loved it. Had plenty of room. King size bed in master and other 2 bedrooms both had 2 double beds each which our teenagers appreciated. We made use of outdoor shower, gas grill and the bicycles provided. Entire family agreed that we would like to come back next time in Seaside.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars because you can tell this was once a beloved family space. Not sure what has happened, but the current owners need to add some updates. The kitchen is lacking in many areas, and the items that are there are old, mismatched, or broken. The pot I used to boil water, a handle that was coming apart. The king-size bed sags in the middle. Areas of the flooring have gaps near the other two bedrooms. It appears as if the cheap option is taken to cut corners, and money is not wanted to be spent. However, the rate per night is consistent with the area, so you are paying for a Motel 6 at a Marriott price. There was a smell upon arriving that others had mentioned, but it comes and goes. The location is fantastic, the screened-in porch was lovely, there are plenty of towels, bikes were a bonus, plus the beach chairs. This could be a gem if a few items are addressed. It is just hard paying for a rental, and you can tell the owners don't seem to care about their VRBO guests.

Great location; fun vintage vibe

This house was perfect for us! We loved the history of the home and that, while updates were evident, the vintage vibe was retained. It could not be in a better location for walking to the beach, to Seaside and to nearby restaurants. On the downside, the broken toaster mentioned in a July review has not been replaced and the lip on the coffee carafe is also broken so be cautious or purchase coffee offsite. These two item are easy inexpensive fixes and I’m surprised the management company does not address.

Old unit like a grandmas house.

Great location that's it. The unit is old and outdoor area lack of maintenance & upkeep. Insects/bugs inside the house. Several items out of order and/or broke WiFi (WiFi fixed on our last night), one of the heating element on the cooktop looks like been out for sometime ( waiting for parts). Toaster no handle. Looks like the unit maybe under going some renovation, countertops were replaced but the cabinets are old and looks like falling apart. You need to keep the fan on all the time to prevent the musty odor.

Wonderful but old...

I enjoyed my stay at Memories! The location truly does not get better than this. A three minute walk straight into your beach access and just blocks away from Seaside with easy access to food spots and coffee shops. I love the retro-beach theme of this home. However the kitchen is definitely dated. My main and biggest complaint is that there was a strong, bad smell in and around the home that was really unpleasant.

Cute, cozy vintage home located in a quiet, beautiful area. Brought my granddaughter to celebrate her high school graduation. Short walk to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely consider staying again.

Great location but the house is old

We have stayed in this house three times because the location is great and the price is reasonable but it is a 60+ year old house with small rooms, uneven floors and a few critters. Since we only sleep there when we're in town it suits our needs.
