A quiet, comfortable location to use as a base while visiting family in Duncan. We tripped a fuse while using the hairdryer but the host told us how to reset. Easy access to shops and restaurants.
We had a great trip, this is a wonderful vacation, and made it very easy to get around to all of the amenities. My son and I would get up early and hit the mountain bike trails and be back in time to wake everyone else up to go do some other fun stuff. I recommend this location. The owner was fantastic easy to deal with and we had an awesome trip.
I was very pleased having the ability to do laundry on the premises as I was there for a month. Everything was supplied - and appreciated. The kitchen had most things I needed for the cooking I did and if not, great opportunity to visit the locall thrift stores to find that item. There is a family upstairs so be aware of the noise that comes with that. The property backs onto a very busy road also so road noise is "there" when the windows are open. The property so close to the beautiful trail system which I used almost daily.
Location was very good. Small shopping centre nearby with grocery chain store, fast food outlets, liquor outet, Timmy's, gas and laundromat. Unit was good. A few things require attention. Had a small plumbing problem which was looked after very quickly. Nice to have washer and dryer in unit. Young family upstairs .that

Nice place, clean, good communication with property manager and great location. However the children that live in the upstairs are incredibly loud, crying/shouting/playing into the middle of the night. Made for very difficult sleep, house came with ear plugs : ) shower head worked sporadically but manager offered for plumber to visit.
Clean, nice condition, and great location for the area. Near lots of amenities within walking distance. Stocked well too, no problem to cook and prep food for a family of 4, just enough for that. Will recommend, and go back next time in the area.
What an amazing place to stay! I’m so grateful for the wonderful owner/manager who helped make our stay even more special. We had some great tips that helped us to explore areas close by. A walk out onto the beach felt like paradise. I’m so grateful for our stay! Everything was very, very clean and felt very welcoming as soon as we walked in. I would definitely stay here again.
Lovely basement self contained unit. Two good bedrooms and very comfy pullout couch in the living room.. well rquipped kitchen. Located 2k approx on the Nanaimo side of Duncan, but in walking distance Country store, Tim Hortons etc
This unit was exactly as pictured. Comportable bed. Well stocked kitchen including spices. Great to have a washer and dryer! Good area of town. A place to park and easy to contact the property manager as we were given his phone number. Called the number re a minor question and received a quick response.
Overall, great location for Lake Cowichan area. Tim Hortons and a small grocery store 2 min. walk away, Thrifty's and Walmart a 5 min drive. What makes this a 4 star rather than a 5 star is the air-conditioning. It keeps the living space nice and cool but there are no ducts to the bedrooms, so you'd have to leave your bedroom doors open which wasn't possible when traveling with another couple. The yard could use a few planter boxes to spruce things up when sitting outside. Like most hotel rooms, whoever is above you is hard to avoid and the sound of tiny feet are hard to block out. Nice to have access to a washer and dryer (there even was some tide pods and fabric softener sheets) and dishwasher and a nicely stocked kitchen. No need to bring much of anything. Again, overall, a great place to call home for a few days. Owners, when we saw them are very pleasant. Self check in was very easy.
