The hotel's amenities were top-notch; the bed and breakfast were excellent. However, the service was the worst that I have ever experienced in Japan. The attitude of the receptionist was extremely bad, especially the man at the reception. When I checked in and asked whether I was able to have early check-in, his attitude was extremely bad and he said no. I know it may not be possible to have early check-in, but the attitude with which he refused was extremely bad. He had a black face the whole time. I was really shocked that the service in Japan was so bad, as the service in Japan has always been praised. Then, when I came back from outside with my luggage, I knew I had to roll the luggage on the mat to clean the wheels. I did it, and the man saw it, he impolitely said "Remove your shoes!" He didn't even say "please". I actually knew I had to remove my shoes before stepping into the hotel, but I was planning to roll the luggage on the mat before I stepped into the hotel. His attitude was extremely bad and impolite. I had seen good comments about the hotel, and I had been to Japan many times before. I was so shocked that the service of the staff was so bad. And the service of the woman in the restaurant was also very bad. I asked her if I can have any hot water, she refused with black face and said hot water was only served for guests who paid for breakfast.
This is the first time that I left bad comments for a hotel. I hope others can know this before booking this hotel.
