No fuss entry system for main door and room. Come and go as you pleased, very large lovely room no hassle.

I’d stay here again.

Very clean and roomy with nearby easy parking. Excellent location—truly less than ten minutes walk to Windsor.

Room was adequate and clean. But beds were not comfortable, Door knob was loose. As soon as I opened a door to the room, I smelled stale cigarette smell. There seems no air condition so need to open windows to get air through room. Room was ready to check in 30 minutes before check in time and no problem to get in to our allocated room upstairs. Expedia listed contact number was wrong and finally found correct phone and contact email address from Charles House own web site. Expedia booking site was not able to amend number of guest from one to two. I finally got Charles house owner by email and at end we paid additional 10 GBP for our stay. Toilet sheet was yellow stained and could not understand why it has not been replaced to new one. Better maintenance of room is required. 10 minutes Walking distance to Windsor Castle. Closest parking was full but we found spaces in another parking. Parking 4.80 GBP for two hours, 2 GBP for Overnight 7 pm to 9 am. Better to stay outside of Windsor or visit from London by tour or rail.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

This guest house is what it states on the tin. Its simple and easy to find and use. We enjoyed it . No body to check in with and the last four of your mobile to gain entry was a novel idea and worked well. I can state that our stay was enjoyable and if I were staying in Windsor again I would certainly stay at this property. Also there is a CO OP convenience store just across the road which is a great bonus.

Door lock system with pin was unusual for us

Location was close enough for Windsor Castle but a little ways to closest restaurants however no complaints.

Super convenient

I needed a place to sleep after a work do, this was a perfect choice. Simple, clean, conveniently located - and the keyless check in/entry system was a dream.

Bra hotell med modernt incheckningssystem.

Obemannat hotell som använder en tät kommunikation med information via e-mail innan vistelsen. Hotellet hade ett enkelt system med kodade dörrar och inga nycklar. Inget krångel med in- och utcheckning. Allt fungerade jättebra, bra med en affär tvärs över gatan och gångavstånd till Windsor Castle. Trots närhet till trafikerad gata så var det inga störande ljud. Mycket bra wifi.

Nice Hotel near to the Castle of Windsor. Parkings are near and you can go by foot in 10 minutes to the old town.

Spacious

Good hotel. No reception area but they were in touch with me by email and got a code for the door. Room was great. I really liked this hotel.

The Charles house room was clean and not bad. It is quite far from anything-restaurants, sites to see etc. Be ready to walk. The real problem with this hotel is that there is nobody there and no help or answers to anything. Why does one choose a smaller hotel? Usually for a more personal touch. Where to eat?, what to see? Talk to a local. Forget it here. There is no front desk or person to talk to. You punch a code in to enter, if you know it. There is a book with very sparse local information in the room. In the morning there is a phone number that is not active until 9:30 am!!! Never in 35 years of traveling have I ever been in a hotel room after 9:30am. 90% of customers have checked out before 8:30am. Very difficult when one does not have local cell phone service to deal with this hotel. Avoid this. Not convenient. They should call it the Charlie's Angels because you never see anyone- only over the phone can you talk. I did not see another human being at this hotel. That is a first!

Convenient and clean guest house

Very spacious room but the traffic noise didn't allow for a good night sleep despite the double glazed windows. The twin beds we asked for were not all that comfortable either. Parking was also a problem as had to park to a nearby paying car park which added an extra charge to our stay. Overall the room and bathroom were clean and spacious and the guests house is conveniently located just a walk away from the city centre.

Aucun accueil à l'hôtel mais la personne vous contacte à l'avance avec les détails par internet, ce qui permet une arrivée libre. L'emplacement est parfait pour explorer Windsor à pied mais demeure loin des restaurants. La chambre est très propre et spacieuse, dans un quartier sûr et dans un style typiquement anglais. Pour ceux qui 'ont pas l'habitude, le bruit de la rue est assez gênant.

Great location, clean bright room.

Nice light room, although a bit warm on arrival soon sorted by turning radiators off! Convenient for a small supermarket across the road and a short walk into Windsor.

Charles house is great find .clean comfortable and safe .our first time in Windsor we loved it . Barbara sent all information necessary check in parking all really helpful .although our first visit to Windsor would definitely stay at Charles house in the future.

This B and B is extremely well located both for shopping and site seeing. It is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. There is a car park nearby.

Well located Guest House

This Guest House is in a perfect location for visiting Windsor. It's near shops and all the places of interest. The rooms are well appointed and clean. There is a car park nearby which has a walkway through to the station and main shopping area. It would also be convenient for Heathrow airport. This is the second time we have stayed and hope to go again next month.

Clean and simple

We didn't see anybody from the hotel but I didn't mind that as we had a contact number for any problems. Although small the room was very clean and adequate for our needs but if you wanted luxury you would go elsewhere.
