Spring break trip with the little ones

House was perfect! We needed a pool for the little ones since the ocean was too cold and having the option for it to be heated was so nice! They had a blast!!! Beds were all very comfortable which is very rare when renting. And the ocean was very easy to get to from the house. John, the owner was very easy to commit with if you had any questions or problems. We would love to come back!

Girls trip

5 of us came for the Viking game. We had such a great time in the pool and hanging out on the patio area. It is in a great location, short walk to the beach for the beautiful sunrise. Good restaurants in the area. Both John and Sue were wonderful to deal with and easy check in. We had a wonderful 5 days here!

Amazing Experience

This home was everything we needed for our annual vacation for 12. It was walking distance to the beach and the pool was perfect for the kids as well as adults to relax after the exhausting beach days. The home was in a perfect location to multiple stores that we frequented. The owner was communicative before, during and after our stay. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Convenient Beach House for large family

This house comfortably fit our family of 9. There was plenty of space and plenty of amenities for our large party. The beach is a short car ride away and the pool at the house was great! We loved it!

More than accommodating and in a great location!

The house is much larger than it appears in the photos. The private back patio with pool / grill / plenty of seating was a great place to hang out! Also, the great room was plenty big enough to hold everyone in the house for the Saturday college game day!

Great place for small team offsite

This was the perfect place for the offsite my team and I needed. The large family room and spacious outdoor seating gave us plenty of area to discuss our next 12 months of plans. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and grill was great. Location was good too - just four blocks from one of the loveliest beaches I have ever seen. Best of all, everyone had their own private room and a good WiFi connection. Thanks John for a great place for a productive meeting.

Spacious Home in a Great Location

Very roomy house - accommodated 7 adults, an infant, and a dog with no issues. Very short walk to the beach and a few good eating places. Got a lot of use out of the pool and the grill. Good communication from the host who provided a lot of information. The property manager was readily available and easy to work with. One thing to be away of - there are no toiletries in the house (bath soap, shampoo, body wash, etc. ) so be sure to bring your own. We would definitely rent this home again if we found ourselves in the area.

This was a great place for our family to gather and relax for a full week. The pool was a hit!

The house was in great shape and clean. We prepared most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. It was an easy walk to the beach. Just had to be careful crossing a busy street - but doable. The pool was probably our favorite amenity. We swam 2-3 times a day. There were 8 adults and 2 babies. - there were enough beds, a high chair and even a stroller. We would stay again if the opportunity arises.

Family spring break

We were in a bind, with need for a last-minute house over spring break. John saved the day, getting the house ready for us with only 24 hrs notice. We had a family of 15, with lots of young children. The house was great. A nice, open living area, great fenced in yard and heated pool and easy walk to a beautiful beach. The house had everything we needed for a week's stay. John was very responsive with any questions and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Poor Experience

My friends and I had a poor experience last Labor Day weekend with this property. The owners were very difficult to work with, the pool was not clean, the dishes were not clean, the grill was a mess, the rental and deposit return processes were convoluted and the overall experience was frustrating and very disappointing. For as many rental homes as there are in Jacksonville Beach, I highly recommended looking for another option.

Relaxing Family Reunion

This was our very first family reunion - thirteen people in the rental and several more day visitors who live nearby. It was perfect. Comfortable, spacious, the pool was used almost 24/7! Since we had little ones, most of us drove to the beach, but parking was easily available. The kitchen, while somewhat small, had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. And we ate most of our dinners in, each family taking a turn. During quiet time for the kids, there were plenty of videos to choose from. The only reason I don't give this a five was the trouble we had with ants in one of the bathrooms. And that may just be a northerner unused to the relentless activity of insects down south! We did not have problems with any of the other rooms.

NOT as advertised in listing description

3 BR and 2 BATH and NOT 4 BR and 3 bath home as advertised since the upstairs area (the new master bedrooms and bathroom) is reserved for the owners. We found out when we checked in. Listinfg boasts 3300+ sq. ft. Not true when you take away owners' quarters. Also, refrigerator and cupboards full of groceries leaving little room for our own. The BOSE surround sound system not functiuonal and the same with the DVD. Bathrooms and formal dining room not up to par re cleanliness. Except for the entertainment/great room which is really very nice, the rest of the downstairs area, especially the bathrooms and kitchen are very dated and in need of a total renovation. We stayed there for 10 days in early March of this year.

Everything you could want and more!

This house is the perfect blend of relaxing retreat meets gathering place. Having traveled halfway around the globe from Hawaii with two toddlers, it was utterly refreshing to arrive and unwind in this huge beach house with all the amenities. The huge family room was great for doing it all - we could watch the big screen TV while the kids played with ample space, or eat at either of the two dining areas with the kids still in view, or open the french doors to let in the fresh air adjacent to the backyard pool area and grill out. It looks like an interior designer put it all together with decorative, yet personal little touches throughout the house. The owners really thought of it all when arranging this space and they are extremely kid-friendly with lots of kids amenities (crib, high chair, stroller, baby gate for stairs) and indoor and pool toys. And the pool has a great shallow ledge for the kids to play - this was definitely key for water play with little ones regarding safety! (Or just laying out in the sun too!) We were in town visiting family so we had people over to visit from time to time. And because of the spacious floor plan, I could put the kids down for naps in the bedrooms of the original wing of the house while we entertained in the larger addition family room. The beach was just a stone's throw walk across the main road, along with several great nearby restaurants and shops in walking and short driving distance (including the local spot Cinotti's Bakery - YUM!). Definitely a great location. The popular Atlantic/Neptune Beach town center was just a short drive in one direction, while the other popular St Johns Town Center was a quick drive in the opposite direction. This couldn't have been better centrally located! This place was all we wanted and more…you could curl up with a book and relax in one of its little nooks or host an entertaining gathering and impress family and friends. In addition to the house, the owners were a true pleasure to work with, always attentive and friendly and more than accommodating. Thanks for an amazing experience and Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii!

Fun Stay

This is a great no frills house. The owners communication was top notch! Very responsive, kind and welcoming. The livingroom area is bigger than you would think, great for large families. The location was easy to get to and from the beach. We drove to the beach and found instant parking. Drive is less than 2 minutes if traffic is light ( have to cross Main Street) House is walking distance to a great breakfast place. Property manager was responsive while onsite and met us there when we arrived.
