Cozy Waterfront on Puslinch Lake

We are family owned beautifully renovated 5 bedroom cottage with all the comforts of home. A Bold and Fiery Ruby in our Puslinch Township reverberating its beauty across the lake, Puslinch Township, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph area. It is found 15 minutes away from Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph, 40 minutes west of Toronto.

You simply cannot beat this location. Mere 5 minutes drive to 401 Highway for an easy move and access to all the shopping and local attractions. This is THE place to unwind and take in all the wonderful scenic nature. It is positioned at the waterfront for fabulous views of the Lake situated on the South shore.

For hiking fans, you must explore through the many forested winding nature trails of Puslinch Lake Trail. Additionally, you can participate in tons of outdoor activities for which there is a plenty of space on the property. Most importantly staying at our cottage will not just limit you to staying on the property and be bound by the property lines. It will let you access the central to the lake Big Island with docks around it for tanning or swimming. You absolutely have to explore the inner adventure self to canoe there.

The BBQ area is covered from the sun and rain, while the main deck features 2 patio tables where upto 12 can easily be seated with few extra chairs available for visiting friends or family so everyone can finally gather and enjoy the time.

There is a floating sunning dock. You also will have the use of our Canoe available for your all day enjoyment.

    This was a very disappointing stay for us. We have stayed at many short term rentals previously. We received the usual welcome message from the owner the day before check-in. We had already left our home to travel to the cottage area. I was very surprised to read: "You will need to bring bedding, towels and hygiene related products." We scrambled to arrange for bedding and towels (which we have never had to do for a short rental!) When I told the owner that I was surprised by this request, he then agreed to supply bedding and towels. In the end, I was happy that we had brought our own bedding/towels, because what was put on the beds and the small towels were very very old and insufficient. Early the next morning, the owner sent me a message indicating that he was aware that we had dogs (we did, we were not hiding this fact) and asked for an additional 200 cleaning fee. When I expressed surprise by this as the site clearly stated "dog friendly," he stated that I had not declared them at registration. He then sent me a photo of me out walking my dogs (taken from his property camera) and threatened to send the photo to VRBO. This was very upsetting to all of us to think that he was watching us on the multiple cameras around the property and reluctantly paid the additional fee. The unit did not have any dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, doormat, which we purchased during our stay. The TV is very old and only has YouTube. We left a day earlier than planned.

    We were 3 families of 6 with 2 children and 2 dogs. Lots of room for everyone to be comfortable. Beautiful views on a quiet lake, although swimming was not possible due to lots of weeds. We had a very hot week and a blowup pool was provided for the kids which they loved! Close to many amenities and activities. All in all an excellent family vacation!

    Three generations of our family enjoyed a great getaway at Dmitri’s place, super accessible to Hwy 401 and yet, quiet and secluded. Swans paddled past the end of the dock as the sun rose in the morning. Generous space allowed us to hang out together or have some quiet time if we needed it.

    Great location, lacking some basics

    This is a wonderful property if you're looking for a convenient lakefront property for a quick weekend getaway. But make sure you book knowing that this is very much a bare bones cottage, and you'll need to bring all your own supplies, including cooking basics like oils, vinegar, salt, pepper etc. We were told to bring linens but were surprised there weren't even hand towels in the bathroom or anything to dry dishes in the kitchen. The lake wasn't really swimmable, super green and smelly. That's not within the owner's control but worth noting! Overall super clean, well cared for for what is clearly an older property, and a nice spot for a getaway as long as you're prepared to bring quite literally everything aside from beds and kitchen appliances.

    Spent the weekend with friends. The house was very roomy and the kitchen had most everything we needed. There were 7 of us staying the weekend with plenty of room in the house and on the deck overlooking the lake. It was lovely having an evening at the fire pit. (Thanks for supplying the wood and materials!) A gorgeous sunset with a very calm, smooth as glass lake at night and a lovely morning with a lovely breeze and the loons. We all loved this Cozy Waterfront on the lake!

    House was nice and roomy, nicley updated fixtures. Beautiful scenery and quiet peaceful area. Lots of stairs, lights all on automatic sensors and lake was not swimable due to seaweed. Overall good stay but the lake was a drawback for booking again at this location.
