Great home and location! The beach was beautiful while we visited. We liked how each room had its own bathroom, and outdoor showers to rinse off sand were great. Seaside was just a short walk away. We walked into town for breakfast and dinner several days. Would highly recommend, and we plan to return!

Fantastic home—-The deck and the view were awesome—-Owners were such a delight.

Spring Break Happiness

Ages 87 to 22 stayed at this special property. It has something for everyone. Young folks can walk to Seaside in 1 minute, the rest can hang out on the amazing deck overlooking the ocean. Perfect for any beach trip with family, friends or all of the above. Will definitely be back

This house is even more beautiful in person! The views are spectacular! It is warm, inviting, beautiful and fun. My family of 14 spent a week there (parents (80’s), siblings, and all of our teen/young adult kids). The house was perfect for everyone! The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were perfect, but most importantly, the kitchen and living space were outstanding. We cooked almost every meal in the house, which is very well equipped with everything!It was VERY hot the week that we were there, but we were still able to enjoy sitting outside with the shade! We loved the beach, and east of the sun had everything we needed! I could not recommend it more! I would definitely return!**it was so nice to be on the beach and alll on one level! We walked to Seaside every day at least once!***

Amazing View

This house has an amazing view and easy access to the beach. The house comes with a lot of extras like beach toys, chairs, umbrellas etc. I have never had a more personal service experience. The property managers made themselves available via text message and communicated often to help us navigate our stay. I will stay here every year I can.

Family home with beautiful beachfront

3 couples sharing the home. Great location with a charming history as a family beach house. Photos are accurate. Beautiful views of the gulf from the living areas and private steps to the beach. Things we consider important: Beds are very comfortable. AC cools the place and hot water is ample for the larger group. The only issue we had was the wi-fi did not work well except for very early morning. Connections were spotty thereafter. This is a big, lovely home and we had a really nice time.

Best Trip Ever!

We had a party of 4 couples. We don't see each other often since we live in different states. Back in the late 1990's to 2002 we have stayed at East of the Sun. We planned this trip last October and could not wait to be together. The house is amazing and love all the renovations. New beds, bathrooms, a new deck and another swinging bed. Payson takes good care of you of anything you need. They supply 8 beach chairs and 4 umbrellas.. We would go out early in the morning and set up chairs and umbrellas. We were close to restaurants and grocery store. We ate out some but cooked and ate in too. Can't wait for the trip. Nothing is better watching the sunsets at East of the Sun. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home.

Perfect location

This beach house is incredible. We went with my 91 year old grandmother and it was truly the vacation of a lifetime. It’s all one story and a very spacious open floor plan so she could get around anywhere she wanted. The deck is fabulous and she was able to watch us play on the beach everyday. The rooms are spacious and every room has its own bathroom!! We rented a golf cart and 6 bikes through the company they recommended and they were SO EASY to deal with. Seaside shopping and the food trucks are completely walkable but we also enjoyed the ease of biking and bringing my grandmother on a golf cart. We also took the golf cart many times to Publix grocery store (2 miles away). We stayed so busy that we actually forgot to write in the guestbook. But we want to make sure the owners know how much we loved our stay. This really checks off all the boxes as for as location, privacy, beach access, kitchen/living room space, appliances, fun things to do, you name it. Beach chairs and umbrellas are already at the base of the stairs and easy to bring on and off the beach. The kitchen has absolutely everything you would need—Tupperware, blender, keurig, regular coffee pot, slow cooker, spices etc.. we were impressed. There are tons of games to play and books to read. We will really hope to come back one day. Didon, we loved meeting you! Thanks for sharing your family home!

Fantastic! What a view ! Fully stocked, and wonderful for large families!

Excellent location, and cozy, comfortable home. The owner is wonderful, welcoming, and a breath of fresh air. She has thought of every detail, and we fully enjoyed the treasure trove of books, artwork and family pictures that tell a story with so much character throughout the home. The porch is wonderfully large with fantastic swingbeds being one of our favorite spots to sit, read or watch our older kids play in the sand. With just a short walk or quick bike ride to the shops, restaurants and children's park at Seaside, there is lots to see and do, but with the ability to have this place as a retreat to relax steps away. It's a place you could come, stay and never feel like you have to do anything else. We enjoyed it so much, and took full advantage of the fully stocked kitchen cooking most of our meals right at home - several times picking up some shrimp or seafood to add to our dinners at Goatfeather's down the road. 6 beautiful, great size bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom with plenty of room to spread out and find a quiet spot. The outdoor showers attached to the bedrooms came in handy to help wash off the kids and keep the sand out, and our 90 year old grandmother loved taking in the views and fully appreciated the one floor living with the ability to still see what was going on the beach down below. Thank you again for sharing your upstairs view, and gorgeous artwork! We look forward to the opportunity to come back with our 7 children next year, create more memories and again enjoy the sunshine, sea and salty air! Jusqu'à la prochaine fois! Bon Voyage Didon!

Love this house!

This was our third trip to this special house over the past 15 years. We love everything about it and the location. Owner is very sweet and lives in the Studio above. House is very well maintained and cared for.

A little slice of paradise

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at East of the Sun! The property was absolutely perfect in every way! Impeccably clean and very spacious! We loved the location overlooking the beach and ocean. We spent most of our time relaxing on the magnificent deck. We enjoyed watching the sunset nightly from the comfort of the deck bed swings, they were just the best! It was nice to have a gas grill included at the property for grilling out and enjoying our dinners oceanside on the deck. Very convenient location. Restaurants and shopping in Seaside were only a short walk away.

Simply Wonderful

We had all our grown children and 2 grand babies. House was wonderful because whoever stayed with littles could listen to baby monitor on back porch while still enjoying the sound of the waves and beautiful view. Also, nice to walk to Seaside to shop have coffee. Payson was easy to work with.

Great Family Reunion Home!
