Country Cabin in the Woods

Welcome to the Country Cabin in the Woods. Surrounded by 160 acres of woodland, and a step away from Crown land with its breathtaking and expansive wilderness. 

Imagine relaxing by the toasty fire on a chilly day. Or putting your feet up and listening to the sounds of "nothingness" as you catch a warm breeze on the front deck overlooking the flower garden. Curl up with a blanket, read a book, listen to some music, watch the sky on those clear, starry nights. Experience whatever your personal definition of "tranquility" is.

For recreation enthusiasts, quadding and snowmobiling in the backcountry as well as seasonal hunting and fishing is close by.

In the Cabin you will find the kitchen fully equipped with basics, plates, cutlery, pots and pans, stove, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, fridge/freezer & microwave. Just bring your favorite foods.

Bathroom includes Sink, toilet and shower. Towels included for use during stay.

The living room is furnished with sofas, TV with DVD player, a selection of movies, board games and cards for your entertainment. The wood burning stove provides comfort and heat on those cold winter days. Split wood is provided.

Two bedrooms with cozy queen size beds, linens, blankets and pillows are provided.

Enjoy the flowergarden, pond and firepit around the yard. Split firewood is provided. BBQ is on the deck for all your grilling.

Guests rent the entire cabin and do not share with anybody else. We live on the property, but in a different residence away from the Cabin. We are available if needed, but respect your privacy.

Our cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, artists, business travellers, or a weekend retreat.

Diana’s cabin was one of the most perfect little cabin get aways I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying!Immaculately clean & well put together as well as extremely beautiful and rustic. The property is unimaginably gorgeous with a lush garden and water feature and is so private and peaceful. It was perfect for bird watching with many local species visiting the trees around the cabin!I particularly appreciated the exquisite art and authentic art prints on the walls by actual Canadian artists rather than the usual mass-produced home sense garbage you see at most short-term rentals. Diana was also very responsive when I had questions and generous! Thank you!

Cozy, clean, secluded stay!We stayed at this property as we were attending a wedding at the wedding venue called Diamond in the Rough. It was about a 25 minute drive, the same distance/time to a hotel/motel in Olds. It was quiet, clean, unique, had many outdoor seating areas (some sheltered) and many amenities such as coffee for a few days!Outside was a fire pit area, a gazebo with seating and a small pond with a fountain.My husband thinks we should go back!

Perfect getaway

The Cabin in the woods is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed, it was clean and welcoming. The outdoors was serene and quiet, with lots of different spots to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Great Weekend Getaway

An excellent property with everything you want for a weekend getaway. My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and it was fantastic. Everything you need is supplied, including firewood. It was -30 at night and -20 during the day. The wood burning stove kept the cabin very toasty. We even had a romantic fire outside. Very good property if you want to get away from it all!

Perfect little cabin in the woods

My wife, dogs and I had a lovely three day stay only 30 minutes from our favourite fishing holes and would highly recommend Diana’s cabin in the woods if you are looking for peace and tranquillity. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of bucked wood for both the wood stove and fire pit.

Total Serenity.

The driveway up to the cabin is so tranquil. The property was as beautiful as the pictures and even more. What a gem! We never left the property.🙂 The deck/porch is big, covered and everything provided for a comfortable retreat outside. The inside of the cabin is also just as the pictures. Very well put together. A super area for all to socialize. All the conviences you would need. Everything is of great quality. The bedrooms are styled nicely. The beds are the best! So comfortable. You kinda hate to get out of them. I really can't say enough good things about the cabin and the property. We'll be back for sure! Diana, the host was easy to contact and helpful with directions. Thanks so much Diana for sharing this marvelous cabin and property.

Fantastic Alternative to Camping!

This was all the things we love about camping (being in nature, sitting around a fire, quality time with friends) with none of the things we hate (the packing up, noisy generators, dumping tanks). The property is adorable and as shown in the pictures. Lots of options for outdoor seating, comfy beds, cosy indoor space for bad weather and nicely equipped kitchen. Thoughtful host had provided lots of information and was available but not intrusive. Will definitely book again.

Secluded, cozy, and stylish

The cabin is a perfect place for a quiet getaway. Aside from the stylish furnishings and decorating, the view out the windows, comfy bed, all that we needed for a peaceful, intimate weekend in a secluded woodland. I personally liked that the firewood was very dry and easy to light on the cool winter mornings. Diana responded to texts quickly and thoughtfully. We'll plan to return in the spring or summer. I'm sure the woods will be even more beautiful.

Fantastic Little Getaway

This is our second stay at "County Cabin in The Woods". We love the property and cabin. It's so quaint and homey. The wood stove in the cabin is definitely the cherry on top! Would recommend Diana's cabin for those who are looking for a quick getaway or an extended stay. It has everything you need and more!

Hidden away far from the maddening crowd is a piece of heaven where the silence is deafening and the solitude and quiet are wonderful. The cabin in the woods and the property it sits on most definitely exceeded our expectations. We can see a return visit in the future.

Amazing place!

This is a beautiful place. The cabin is extremely clean, fresh and tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable, and the sheets are the softest I've ever felt! There is a lovely deck, with comfortable seating and tables. We had breakfast there every morning. There's also a gazebo, and firepit area, well stocked with firewood. The little garden is delightful, with flowers and a pond and fountain. It is a very quiet and tranquil place to stay. There is no traffic to be heard, unless you count the farm machinery that could be working nearby. There are maintained trails to walk over the property, which is mostly treed. We absolutely loved this place and will be returning!
