"Stayed her for two nights as a stop on our first trip to Japan and it far exceeded my expectations! The hotel is absolutely beautiful- right in the lush mountainside with incredible views. The staff are so hospitable, making sure you have everything you need. The room was perfect, with modern amenities and traditional charm. And the Onsen! My goodness both are incredible- and I love that they alternate between men/women so you can enjoy each on alternate days. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options for all appetites. We also added on dinner at the annex; a bit pricey, but a very nice experience. Overall, had a wonderful stay and highly recommend! "

"Big spacious room , it has all the amenities. Very clean, best thing it’s right connected to train station making it easy to do your hakone loop or catch train back to Tokyo or other cities. "

"Gorgeous property with very many nice amenities. The fun foot spa was a treat. You can order drinks and snacks and enjoy a nice foot soak while looking out over the river. Very attentive staff. Very well treated."

"Such a beautiful and peaceful place to unwind. The views are amazing, calming and the cherry trees in bloom were the cherry on top of the cake. Walks by the lake with views of Mount Fuji were so peaceful The rooms are comfortable, the bedding of good quality and the toilets are so good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurants served nice good at all three venues. The onsen is the best feature. Beautifully done in a peaceful and mindful setting with a cherry tree that I would look at for hours. Amazing stay and I would definitely stay there again "

"Lovely hotel, rooms and views. Very accommodating, for a price. Comparatively expensive for the other places we stayed in Japan, but they were excellent. Designed to be a resort, it is unnecessary to leave the property but they made everything in the area very easy to access. Common area and restaurants were very pleasant spaces to relax. "
