Super quiet neighborhood with very private cabins. Super clean with a wrap around gated deck, so the dog could come hang out. Saw deer passing alongside the cabin everyday too!
We really enjoyed our stay. Peaceful, relaxing, well maintained and close to everything we wanted to do. Thank you for providing us a very nice place to stay.

Cabin in a Private Setting
Cabin was sufficiently stocked and the community amenities are good for kids especially.
Owner is very friendly. The place is beautiful and a great private location. The hot tube is amazingly clean and the gated porch was so much help with our dog. Absolutely no complaints here.
This property was amazing and the view was even better. However, Rebecca was the best host we have ever had. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I will be booking only her properties when I visit the area in the future. Thank you, Rebecca.
Me and my family came to this property for Labor Day weekend and it was very nice cabin. I love how it sits in the mountains with lots of privacy. The description basically describes the features exactly. There is a rocky dirt road to get to the cabin so be aware when traveling. Great restaurants near by and all activities are within minutes from the cabin including the lake and beach. We had a blast kayaking, ATV riding, outdoor escape room and horseback riding. Great overall experience for our first cabin trip!!
We were looking for a vacation from our vacation and the week at your cabin was amazing the food was close by and everywhere we went didn’t disappoint can’t wait to stay here again
Very nice clean cabin with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Everything was accessible and they have plenty of information available to help you find everything locally. We went horseback riding and rode UTVs through the mountains. Great place for yoga and meditation as well; it was just so peaceful. It helps if you have 4WD coming up….lol
We had a great time at this cabin. Liz was a great host. Easy to communicate with. Great location for all tourist attractions.......
I highly recommend this home.
The host was absolutely amazing and always got back to me with any questions that I had. The cabin itself was beautiful. The river and the beach with the mountain views were beyond exceptional. The only reason why I did not give five stars is because the beds made the stay very uncomfortable as the mattresses were firm spring mattresses. We all woke up in horrible pain everyday along with tossing and turning throughout the night. The mattresses need to be updated or I definitely suggest putting a 3-in serta topper/ egg crate on top of the mattresses. This would make for a more comfortable stay for many of people. Also wish there was more blankets and not quilts. On nights that it got really chilly, the only thing that kept us warm were the soft plush blankets that they had on the bed that went over the quilts but they are on the thinner side. We tried using the other blankets they did have in the closets but we were still freezing. Other than the mattress and the quilts, everything was beyond perfect. The host responded so fast and so quickly to all of my questions and was on top of everything. The area is beyond exceptional with the views. If you are looking for a cabin in the mountains and a little secluded from the city area, you are definitely looking at the right cabin. The host maintains the cabin beautifully. I would definitely rent again from this host.
Great cabin, with a well stocked kitchen and access to private lake and river. Will most likely recommend to family and friends.

Post Helene
Some of the river areas are not reachable since Helene came through. There is no swimming hole, as the water is too low right now. Also note, Lake Lure clean up & restoration won’t be finished until sometime 2026
Well appointed, comfortable, spacious cabin with all the modern amenities, tucked into a beautiful wooded private reserve. It was great to unwind and de-stress without "roughing it." We enjoyed just relaxing surrounded by nature in full beauty in a most scenic setting, while being just a short drive to good restaurants and fun activities. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Property manager was very helpful and even helped with things to do in the area. Wouls rate this 5 stars....hopefully we will return. Thank you again for a memorable and private getaway!❤❤
Good weekend but bring extra toilet paper & trash bags
We had a few problems at first but the cabin was nice accommodate all of us. Very spacious and great host. Plenty of dishes/pots/ pans/ towels to use. The only complaint I would have is their wasn't enough trash bags (only had 1 bag) and toilet paper ( only had 2 used and one full roll) for eight people. Other then that it was great and reasonably priced.
The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
It could have used a few board games. I did find the xbox but did not want to loose my grandson to video games glad it was in a drawer.
Private but not isolated. Quiet neighborhood. As for the driveway, Yes it is a little bit of a challange but RWD back in. FWD forward in. Other reviews said lots of bugs/spiders NONE. Nice home we enjoyed our stay.
cabin was neat, but the long gravel road up to the cabim needs to be upgraded, drive way to cabin too steep ,2 concrete strips for the width of tires were needed to make it up the drivway, if you off the strips your tires wood spin in the gravel

Liz was very responsive with the communication about check in, etc. the cabin was small, but portrayed accurately as far as the space and bathrooms. However, the cabin was not clean. The beds had hair on the pillow shams, and the couch smelled badly of dogs. All the bath towels smelled musty. Had to immediately go and get laundry detergent to wash all our beds before we slept the first night. It honestly doesn’t take much to maKe sure sheets and towels are clean and refreshed every so often. Disappointed we paid so much and couldn’t even find a bath towel that smelled clean.
After we checked out, they charged us $140 via the “incidentals and damages” even though there were no damages. They said it was a cleaning fee that was in our contract. I spoke with VRBO and they confirmed that there was no such thing stated in the contract. However, I was still charged. They said they would dispute it and I haven’t heard back. I contacted the host and haven’t heard back. I was also charged an “additional person” fee of $10 and we didn’t not have additional people. Eight is the max and we had 6. So watch out. You will be over charged and there’s apparently nothing you can do about it.
