"Mayor Lord's is a lovely property. The carriage house is spacious and lovingly decorated. However, with an absent host by design it is a rather cold place. I understand the concerns surrounding Covid, and the desire for a contactless B&B, but it makes a sterile atmosphere. The $10 voucher is an attempt at breakfast. The over riding charm of a B&B is the interaction among the guests and the host. All that being said I would like to stay there in 2025 when my grandson graduates."

"This was our second stay at this lovely house on the river. We had 6 adults plus our dogs, so we were thrilled to find a place to accommodate such a large group. Enjoyed the front porch overlooking the river, which was big enough for all of us to use at once, and made use of the back patio with grill. Many charming antiques throughout the house and a beautiful (and large) hand made dining room table. We brought several kayaks and really enjoyed the river. Lisa was the best - very quick to reply...

"Beautiful little house, immaculately clean. Everything worked. Very welcoming, as soon as we walked in, we were sold! Loved the back yard, deck, view onto river. Already planning a return visit, just have to decide whom we should invite to stay in second bedroom and share the experience."

"I must say through the pictures I thought this place would be nice. I was right but the pictures do not give it justice of how beautiful the place really is. I truly believe the group and I seen the most beautiful sunset we will ever see. We had a great time. The hosts are the most genuine and nice people. "The Allegheny was running high during our visit, and watching the water was more soothing than I could have imagined. It's a beautiful location in a small riverside community, superb for destressing.The house is well-appointed, lacked nothing, very clean, beds and LR furniture comfortable, heat/AC responsive. This is a rural location for outdoors people or destressing urbanites. Ok for seniors, 6-8 steps up to porch, easy parking. Great spot for exploring the national forest or the river. BTW,...
