Lassiter Family Retreat

Definitely found a place where we could bring family from along the east coast together to stay connected, enjoy the scenery, have fun, eat, relax, and just enjoy each other’s company. Would highly recommend to families.

Our experience with the Beach Embassy was very unpleasant. The house was filthy and the condition of the kitchen and kitchenware was unacceptable. The pictures on the website are heavily filtered and misleading. They do not truly reflect the condition of this unit. The overall condition of the house was poor. Frankly it is very worn and not well maintained and not worth the rental asking price.

We had fun because we were all together and on the beach however we found dirty bowls and utensils under a bed, floors dirty in bathrooms, appliances are old and need replaced, the electric in the kitchen blew a fuse when we were cooking, a toilet was broke in one of the bathrooms (had maintenance come out twice during a 4 day stay) several tubs were so clogged with hair that they wouldn’t drain, the dryer didn’t work, trash outside, all over front where previous guests had left. My 15 year old son plugged in the microwave and got shocked! The place would be amazing if they would put some money back into it but they obviously aren’t even paying housekeepers.

Beach Embassy thru Vacasa

This house is outdated. It is need of serious repairs to bring it to the standard it is being rented for. All windows and sliding doors leak horribly during rain events causing carpet to soak up the overflow. This also leads to leaks in the downstairs bedrooms. The outside deck is unsafe and the railing is being held up with a makeshift toenailed board. Completely unacceptable and unsafe. This was explained last year and nothing was done. The floor in the kitchen is buckling and is a major tripping hazard. The shower curtains in the bathrooms are moldy. I suspect mold will continue to be an issue here as you could see it in several spots in the home. This home has great potential and is in a beautiful spot just needs some much past due attention to details.

Great place for a large group

We had a group of 12 adults and we had a terrific time at the house. It was large enough that only two people had to share a room. There was also almost one bathroom per bedroom, so no one was fighting over them in the morning or night. There was a large living room with a comfy couch and big TV. There was also a pool table, which was a lot of fun. It has seen better days but was perfectly usable. There was no chalk for the cues though so we had to buy our own. The other furniture in the house was pretty cheap and uncomfortable. Beds were comfy but definitely cheap. Most of the house was carpeted, which seemed like a crazy choice for a beach house. There was some sandy or stained areas through the whole house but nothing that was bothersome. A few of the bedrooms did not have soap or toilet paper. We communicated that with Vacasa (who manages the property) and they were very prompt in responding. Local maintenance people dropped more off the next morning. Kitchen has large and served us well. There was a grill on the deck which was really convenient for cooking for 12 people. There were plenty of utensils, pots, pans, and plates. We were only given one small thing of dish soap and one dishwasher tab (despite there being 2 dishwashers). There were no spices or oil or anything else to aid with cooking, so be prepared to bring your own. Other than the feelw things brought up, the house was perfect for us and was a lot of fun. We would return in a heart beat.

Perfect for our family reunion

This home was the perfect size for our multiple families to get together. The beach is beautiful and I love the coastal decor throughout the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the tools we needed to cook and we had Instacart deliver groceries within 2 hours. All of the linens and towels were included, but toilet paper was not, so make sure you bring your own. The water pressure is a little low, but other than that this house is absolutely perfect!

Great access to beach. Big upper deck with 2 picnic tables plus lounge seating. Kitchen needs some organizing and culling. We liked the tremendous dining table and 2 dishwashers, and choice of coffee makers. Huge living room with popular pool table. Plenty of BRs, with most with private bathrooms was convenient.
