"Highly recommend staying here if it’s within your budget! If you have the Hakone Freepass, then head to Gora and the hotel has a very convenient shuttle bus stop there that runs every 20 min. Upon arriving staff greeted us, took our luggage, and coordinated check in. After check in, staff immediately escorted us to the room with our stuff while telling us highlights of the property, such as where the onsens were and where breakfast was. The room itself was great. It’s nice and clean. They have yukatas in the room but you need to request for kids size. Obviously the best part is having your own personal tub on the balcony with hot spring water and cold water to adjust to your personal comfort. Shower pressure was good and they provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and 2 kinds of lotions. The beds were very comfy with plush pillows and a fluffy comforter. We personally prefer to sleep in a cold room and had control over the thermostat. Food wise we did the package with both dinner and breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet came with all you can drink with select beer, sake, sochu up"

"We had an amazing stay and our only regret was that we only stayed one night. Our room was large, the beds comfortable and the bathroom new and efficient. The overall properties and amenities were well above what we had expected. Stay at least 2 nights and enjoy both a wonderful property and beautiful area. "

"I highly recommend this Ryokan for a traditional Japanese experience. The room was spacious, comfortable and I loved the tatami mat! The kaiseki and traditional breakfast meal were exceptional, with beautifully plated dishes. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The onsen was a wonderful place to unwind, with three options available - be sure to book in advance to secure a private timeslot. The nearby antique museum is also worth exploring if you have some free time. Overall, I had a fantastic and relaxing stay at this Ryokan, which provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city."

"This was the highlight in terms of hotels of our trip. We booked 2 rooms not realizing the "room" was actually its own building with a lower level, mezzanine living room and top floor, and our family would have been able to stay in the same place (something to consider). The hotel picked us up from the bus station, which was super helpful. And Mt Fuji greeted us in the morning! I only wish we'd stayed 2 nights here, it was really really beautiful!"

"Great. Only problem is transportation. It is difficult to find a taxi and communication is also difficult "
