This property was relatively nice, especially the family selection option. With family selection we had access to private check-in, her own private pool area with in my opinion the best food and service in the entire resort, and our own private beach area with access to the adults only beach, which had an incredible lunch buffet. Cantina was definitely in our opinion the nicest of the grand Palladium resorts. What was lacking was creativity with drinks, and their version of premium alcohol was not the same is not the same version of our idea of premium alcohol. Wednesday staying at family selection you have a butler, which was very nice. They took care of all of our dinner reservations made sure that we had a stocked mini fridge and even made the sweetest balloon animal bubble bath for our son. We stayed in villa 48 which had great access to both the beach the pool and the lobby. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife! If you take a walk in the morning you might get lucky enough to see the spider monkeys hanging out near the Cantina lobby. You will find Koti’s and capybara‘s just hanging out all over the property, which is very cool!

Rooms are solid, but nothing out of the ordinary. Finding staff willing to provide a good service was the biggest challenge. From getting golf carts to pick you up to follow through on requests, many areas and different people failed to deliver. We booked because las year we stayed at the Playa Mujeres property, and it didn’t live up to that.

My wife, kids, and I just got back from a weeks saty at Kantenah Family Selection. This was our first time at this resort. Our expectations were far exceeded. The property is beaautiful and so well kept up. The staff is always working hard to keep this place beautiful. I would have to say the best part of our trip was the excellent service. The staff was so kind and accomodating. They really go out of thier way to make your stay memorable. We plan to come back as soon as we can.

It was a very big surprise we didn’t expected this Hotel to be so beautiful we have been traveling to Mexico for over 20 years now and our favorite chain of hotels was Iberostar and Riu but this Hotel is way nicer and the food is way better then the other places Another surprise was that we got a free up grade from Expedia to the Family Section and is definitely worth the up grade Thank You Expedia and Thank You Grand Palladium we will be coming back 100%

Had an incredible time at Grand Palladium. Highly recommend getting the Family Selection package as the Nest restaurant, the special beach, and the separate pool were our favourite places to hang out. Food everywhere was excellent but La Adelita was our favourite dinner. Only downside for the property was most of the main pool at Kantenah was very deep! At 5’8” I could barely touch on my tippy toes.

Beautiful resort, nice pools and very attentive staff. Great restaurants with delicious food and with big variety. We loved our stay in this resort. The only thing that we consider was lacking was maybe more pool activities by the entertainment staff like games and competitions. Also an actual Teen club would have been nice as our 14 year old daughter didn’t have much for options if it wasn’t for soccer, volleyball etc in the athletic area.

Second stay at this resort. First time was in 2013 and second time was in 2026. The property is unique because of its size and dedication to preserving the natural habitat that it is built on. There is never more than a 5 min wait for trolley car to take you wherever you want to go. À la carte’s are hit and miss. The buffet is a real good backup. No one in our party got sick. I do have a knock against the colonial pool as it is imo too deep. I’m 5’10” and I had to tippie toe through the pool. When I grab a drink, I want to be able to walk with it. White sands’ pool was at a decent height though. My other knock is the family selections upgrade. It wasn’t for us personally. The best value came from the 24 hr concierge which was amazing and went out her way to make sure our vacation was comfortable and our requests were always looked after. Outside of that, we didn’t find value in the upgrade. Keep in mind my kids are teenagers. All-in-all, the staff were so kind and polite and they really care about your experience. I would recommend this resort to families, especially ones that are visiting Mexico for the first time. *** unfortunately sargasm is real and very prevalent

Family Selection swim out room is hard to top, it will be hard to go back to a regular room after having your own pool. The staff were amazing at every restaurant to accommodate my gluten free needs, butler service was so great to have!

Excellent family-friendly vacation in a peaceful tropical setting complete with coatis, flamingos, and monkeys. Large inviting pool (deep so bring a floatie!) + fabulous little kids splash/slides area. Spacious resort - you would never think the hotel is actually sold out as there's always room for all.

Pros: The resort overall was beautiful and the room was great - very comfortable, updated and clean. We really enjoyed the swim up room. The beach was beautiful and spacious though we weren’t able to snorkel because the water was either red (sargassum) or murky due to the wind. The food was decent and there were so many choices, though everyday the menu was exactly the same. The pools were great - colonial was busier than white sands so if you wanted chairs at colonial you needed to get them by 8am or so. I loved how spacious the resort was, and enjoyed having to walk to get around. Cons: my son got gastroenteritis and was aggressively vomiting so I had to call the in-house physician. The rest of us had typical GI discomfort that was manageable. The music room equipment (guitars, piano, drums) in the Junior Club was all broken, which was a shame - if it can’t be maintained, there’s no point in having it. Don’t even think about relying on the golf carts if you need to be somewhere on time - even though I requested one well in advance at check out, it never came, so we had to drag our bags across the resort to make it to our airport transfer on time. Overall, it was a nice resort, but we won’t be returning.

Beautiful resort. Highly recommend Family Selection Kantenah if you have young kids. Special thanks to: Miguel at La Hacienda as he went above and beyond to bring our son peanut butter every day at breakfast. Every morning he gave us a big friendly smile. He truly is an asset to the hotel!!! Israel at Family Selection for asking what he could do to make our holiday even better and offering additional perks. We recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa as a family of four with our 8 and 10 year old, and overall it was an excellent experience. We booked the Family Selection and stayed in a swim-out suite in Villa 50, which turned out to be the perfect location. We were just steps from the FS beach, the FS El Rinconcito pool, and close to the Colonial pool and breakfast options—everything felt convenient without being crowded. The Family Selection upgrade was absolutely worth it. Having access to all restaurants across the four-resort complex gave us lots of variety, and the butler service made a big difference when it came to booking à la cartes and organizing activities. It really simplified the experience. The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and one of the unexpected highlights for our kids was the wildlife—they loved spotting animals as we walked around. The water park was also a big hit and kept them entertained for hours. Food was excellent overall, with plenty of choice across buffets and à la carte restaurants. One standout evening was the "Tacos & Tequila" night followed by a Mexican-themed show, which was a highlight of the trip—great atmosphere, food, and entertainment. Service throughout the resort was consistently good. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall, this resort is a fantastic choice for families, especially with the FS upgrade. Great food, excellent service, beautiful surroundings.

Very clean room, great accommodations, good buffet, kind staff. Really hard to get reservations for à la carte restaurants which was a disappointment. Fun daily exercises in the pool! Delicious coffee and cocktails.
