“Lots of wildlife and trails on property. Close enough to everything but far enough that it’s quiet. Staff super friendly and having food available with their restaurant was a big plus. I’d stay here again if ever back in La Fortuna. ”

“Pachira Lodge was a great place to stay to explore the Tortuguero area. The lodges were surrounded by the forest with plenty of animal spotting. The buffet style restaurant let the property down with food on repeat at lunch and dinner and for the 3 nights of our stay. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Sibu. It is a short (but steep) walk into Santa Elena. The hotel itself is very nice and modern and offers a great made-to-order breakfast. Service is also excellent ”

“The hotel is in a secluded location, which is exactly what we were looking for. There is only one restaurant, but they offer enough variety for the four nights we stayed. The bungalows offer great privacy in beautiful grounds surrounded by the forest, and there are loads of fauna sighting opportunities.”

“We loved our stay at the Cerro Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and wonderful for bird watching. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a very comfortable place to be, and the pizza was delicious! Between birdwatching, floating in the pool, and enjoying the restaurant/observation deck, we were able to fully relax at Cerro Lodge!”

“A beautiful mountain setting surrounded by nature and hordes of hummingbirds. We saw a trop of 15-20 Coati on the ride in one evening and dozens of hummingbirds at breakfast every morning. The staff is gracious and friendly and always willing ti held with a reservation for a local excursion to the Coffee/Chocolate Plantations or the Adventure parks in the area. our visit was truly outstanding!”

“Dépaysement total dans ce beau lodge..jardin magnifique..petit dejeuner correct et le dîner se passe un peu dans la pénombre ce qui donne une certaine atmosphère..piscine un peu fraîche mais vu la chaleur c'est agréable..personnel à l'écoute très sympathique ainsi que le manager !je recommande vivement ”
