"Property was large and spacious, lots of room to explore. We went with the rooftop suite and loved it! Room was highlight! This location is set up well for couples and has a great local vibe. Room service was a bit slow and concierge was unheard from.. Food was mediocre, par for the course.. expected. 24 hr coffee shop was nice! Common pools are warmer and not ice cold... nice!!"

"We just spent 10 days at Barceló Maya Palace and loved every minute. The resort is stunning, clean, and beautifully maintained. The pools and beach are absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of room to relax. Every meal at the buffet and specialty restaurants was excellent. Most of all, the staff was incredibly warm and attentive. It was the perfect luxury vacation, and we cannot wait to return!"

"Nothing compares to their advertising resort is very outdated very small but the most horrible thing right now is the smell from the seaweed and natural pool they have on the resort I needed to leave could not stay, one night that I stayed and my reservations was for four days but having dinner the first night and having the smell of garbage well I was eating I could not do that every night, checked out and left to a different resort!!"
