"Ivy at the front desk was exceptionally nice and gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat in Tulum. Additionally, Max was fun to talk to and super helpful with any questions that we had. Even though my friend and I speak Spanish, all of the hotel staff seemed to be pretty bilingual and able to communicate in English if needed. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that, but the food at the Copal Bistro Restaurant (the one in the hotel) was really good. The pasta and salmon that we ordered were excellent. A little bit on the pricier side, but good food, nonetheless. The hotel was clean and room service changed our sheets every day and cleaned the bathroom and emptied the trash. No complaints there. Even though we didn’t use it, the room came with pans to cook in, plates, glasses, knives, forks, spoons, toaster, and most things needed to cook. If I ever go back to Tulum, I would definitely stay there again and would recommend others to stay there."

"Third time staying here and still an amazing resort but couldn’t help to notice they are slowly losing their personal touches that made it so special. 1st time was in 2023 and met with smiling faces, valet parking, gift package in the room. 2nd time 2024 all the same with a nice gift bag with sun screen, aloe and bug spray. 3rd time 2025, no valet, no gift bag, friendliest was dwindling and when asked for my car, they gave me my keys and said it’s in the dirt parking lot out back and I can get it myself. 5 star resort is going downhill…"

"This Hotel is inside of Papaya Playa Project. So you get acess to all the PPP Beach Club and Sat Night Party! which is actually really nice. But I will say that beach club is expensive so if you want a place with a bar where drinks are not $20+ dollars. I would book somewhere else. However if your down to stay in a small room to have access to a top tier beach club and thats your vibe then this is perfect for you. I think staying here for a weekend and going to the Big party is a wonderful deal and as a solo traveler I had a blast. "

"Hotelito Azul was such a beautiful, zen experience — very natural, earthy, and tranquil. The food is organic and incredibly fresh, and the entire property has this unique, elevated “treehouse” feel with nature views everywhere you turn. You honestly barely need shoes; there are foot baths outside every suite, which feels so intentional and relaxing. The location is perfect — close to all the great beach clubs and local attractions, and only about a 15–20 minute walk to Ven a la Luz. The blacked tacos at Olivia? Phenomenal. So fresh. Truly, all the food on-site is fantastic and aligned with the whole organic vibe. Customer service was extremely friendly, pleasant, and multilingual — there were absolutely no English language barriers, which made the stay even smoother and more enjoyable. The only recommendations I’d offer: check-in communication could be improved. I didn’t receive my check-in details until after I arrived, and you need a QR code to scan when entering the property. Without that code, you can’t get in, so someone should be monitoring the entrance at all times. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes, but it looks like they were installing a Ring system during my stay, so this will likely be resolved soon. Outside of that, the experience was amazing. The grounds are clean, safe, and truly one of the best beachfront stays in the area. And the rooftop? Spectacular. The sunsets from up there are breathtaking…we sat there every evening just to take it all in. "

"Everything was wonderful and everyone was so kind and helpful The only complaints would be was the food was very salty and also all of the buffet food was cold unless you had them cook it right there in front of you, I will definitely recommend this to anyone and I’m looking forward to returning"
