「A good budget hotel near St Albans. The room is small but clean. Facilities are new and tidy. Not much choice for breakfast but good for the option for taken away.」

「Fantastic hotel, great facilities pity about event planning, not well organised, poor communication, staff and kitchen were at logger heads and were unable to deliver the menu agreed. Service was terrible or excellent depending on who was in charge on the day. 」

「It's a fascinating old hotel with different parts dating from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. It's not been much modernised so floors are uneven and ceilings in the bedrooms low- part of its charm, but some people would prefer modernisation and more uptodate facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is freshly prepared and there's a wide choice of cooked food. It's in a good position, close to the cathedral and shops, and there's a car park.」

「This place is not ready for the public yet, the room is very dated, the windows are very old and damaged, the carpet was disgusting, the bed sheets were not changed from the previous visit. The shower was not comfortable either. The gym was good, and the staff seemed friendly, but the hotel needs a major uplift to justify the room rates they are charging」
