"This home felt like a private getaway mansion tucked in the jungle of Mexico. The modern touches made it even more special—an iPad in the kitchen let us play music and change the light colors and the beautiful projector setup made family movie nights fun. The drive in can be a bit bumpy and confusing at first, but just follow the signs. Remember the landmarks to entrance : Yax- kin cenote post and “Roberto” the welcome mannequin on the side of highway. Enjoy the jungle experience. "

"The power/water/wifi was out for many hours each day of our stay. It was inconvenient to be without these necessities, especially considering the high temperatures of the area. Vacasa guest services were unhelpful, but responsive. It appears that these power outages are frequent and that Casa Xila does not have an adequate generator to accommodate power outages and surges that may happen in this area. "Samantha and the rest of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The hotel is super cute with gorgeous plants, clean rooms, and a great spot on the beach. The Agave restaurant associated with the hotel was delicious. They have the tallest vantage point along the coast of Tulum so you can enjoy sunset over the trees and sunrise over the ocean. They also have a coffee service included where they bring you freshly roasted coffee and leave it outside your room at your desired time....
