「I did not realize when I booked the hotel that it was not beachfront. Though it is just located behind Riu Yucatan, the photos online are most of the Yucatan not the Tequila. Your stay at the Tequila does include the Yucatan beach and pool access s well as lunchtime buffet and all the poolside bars. Having said that, there is a golf cart shuttle that runs throughout the day where you can be at the beach in about one minute.
