"If you’re a first timer for all inclusive, adult only resorts, this is the place for you. With several restaurants and bars on the property, a huge pool, a cafe, a buffet for anytime of the day, a spa, a sushi bar upstairs with another pool, a 24/7 gym, and an open beach front, you cannot go wrong with Wyndham Alltra at Playa del Carmen. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive to your needs. Service was excellent with food, drinks, and housekeeping. Right on the shoreline, you’re a one minute walk away from the famous “5th Avenue” for entertainment and shopping. The neighbourhood is quiet during the day and lively at night. Great programming with dance lessons, salsa making, games, karaoke and so forth. Some downsides include the constant sargassum (seaweed) that washes up on the shore every day. The smell can get a bit bad and can be a bit of an eyesore, but for my partner and I, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Resort staff are constantly cleaning it and there is plenty of beachfront on other properties nearby to enjoy the view. Another downside we experienced was the lack of money exchange. While everyone should be prepared to exchange their currency to either Mexican pesos or American dollars, there were limited options on exchanging for smaller denominations which is critical if you are tipping. Otherwise, the rooms were prepared and maintained beautifully, the food was great and we had no issues nor did we get sick. Would visit again for a second time!"

"Our rooms in phase 1 were so comfortable, well equipped, clean and centrally located. With the exception of a perpetually grumpy Luis in the am rotunda bar (maybe he should not work in customer service), all staff - and I mean all staff - were amazingly friendly, helpful and responsive. We never felt too crowded at any of the facilities. Both Kinoko and Las Murales had impeccable service and the food was quite good. The buffet never failed to please with its variety and a different theme each night. Breakfast variety was plentiful. The food was always fresh and of high quality. This was our first time there and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Royal Haciendas. "

"We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen for 7 nights as a family of 2 adults and one 4-year-old child, and we had a great experience. The resort is very family-friendly, with lots of fun activities for kids that kept our child entertained throughout the trip. The pools were excellent, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy as a family. What really stood out was the guest service, which was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable family vacation, and we would definitely recommend it to other families traveling with young children."

"We spent 7 days at Sandos Caracol Eco in the Select side. We had a personal concierge (Judy) who arranged our dinners at various restaurant on site. These meals were good to excellent, except for the very first one (Lirios). Everything here was terrible. Our party of 7 was really dissatisfied. Sirloins ordered medium came raw, 2 medium rare steaks came cold, well done & were super tough. Soup tasteless. Dine at El Tiempo was great. The chef cooking the meals was very entertaining & this is not to be missed. Dining at Brazil was equally great. Food kept coming & was sliced at the table until you’re ready to explode. This meal is also not to be missed. Our room at the all adult section was kept meticulous by our attendant & the Select adult pool was great. Best to watch your hat & beachware at your cot, less the friendly monkeys will quickly drop by & grab a garment & climb a tree. Even the female peacocks are people friendly. One took a french fry right from my offering fibgers. Food at the buffet was plentiful & was good. Our time at the spa was also very relaxing. The pina coladas were very refreshing & they made a mean mudslide, until they ran out of chocolate syrup. Mamosa af breakfast & wine with all other meals. Judy, our personal concierge did an admirable job. From the get go she was available & looked after us well. At our vacation end she gave all of us hugs & added it was her good luck to look after us. All in all, this all-inclusive stay is great & we recommended."

"Very clean and the staff were great! I would say the resort felt closer to a 4 star vs 5 but it was great value for the price and they had amazing shows in the evening (like the fire show). We had a great time. "
